"Bill Chafee commented on the kitchen mold removal performed by Pure-r Space saying: It is clear that the IICRC S500 guidelines for the removal of mold was in violation. Example, complete containment area of work, to include a clean room. not topically treating visual mold before removing contaminated ares, not aspirating affected wall and fogging behind with an anti microbial in order to treat mold spores behind the wall, thus limiting the possibility of spreading mold spores through the entire house. Proper conduct of mold remediation should have been. contain area, with a clean zone, use Hepa filtration to evac contaminated area. topically treat exposed area, aspirate wall fog with an anti microbial, molded materials are considered hazardous waste and should be double bagged
in industrial waste bags and disposed of properly with waste management. After remediation was performed, a clearance test with certification should have been performed and a final clean of all area's cleaned with an anti microbial cleaner.
I now understand why my lungs feel worse after the kitchen mold treatment procedure by the other company and wish that I could go back in time and have chosen OneCall2 instead and had my mold removed properly. I am so glad Bill Chafee inspected the hall bath area and found it did not need treatment before I acted further believing the other company's claims of wet mold. Also, a flood company confirmed no moisture in that area by thermal imaging.
I have learned the hard way the importance of making sure that any contractor hired is currently licensed in good standing, certified, and insured. Bill Chafee's current qualifications are California Gen B 987118, IICRC 150594. His certifications include water, odor's,and microbial remediation, lead (state) Masters certificate in Goldmorr remedial products.
I am grateful to know Bill Chafee of OneCall2 and recommend him for the reasons stated above."
