They did a great job removing all the pet stains and did not try to sell me unneeded add-ons. We will definitely use them again.

Kevin was on time, pleasant and professional. He did a great job cleaning my sectional sofa, chair and area rugs; they look cleaner and brighter and have no pet odor. The area rugs lie on hardwood floors and Kevin was careful to prevent any fluid from getting on the wood floors. He's the sole owner and operator of the business, and I appreciate that he did not attempt to up-sell additional products or services to me, which some of the larger services tend to do. I will definitely hire Kevin again.

Professional and Excellent! I thought we need a new carpets because of the stains and horrible matted look. As of right now it looks like the carpets are new and they smell incredible but most of all the pet stains are gone and invisible to the eye. 👍👍

Sam and his wife arrived on time in good spirits. We had pet odor in our rugs and dirty carpet in the bedroom. They explained exactly what they would do and how much it would cost. They were thorough and complete. They finished in about two hours and the results were dramatic. The pet odor is gone and the rugs look great.

When I first contacted Joe he stated that he would be on site at 8am. He was there on time, I was in the process of moving some furniture out of his way. He pre-treated several spots that our dog has so lovingly left, and he then proceeded to clean those spots, the hall, and living room. The carpets looked new, the unpleasant odors from our loving dog, gone. I highly recommend Castaneda Cleaning Service, it was a pleasure to have Joe service the carpets as quick and efficient as he did. Mark

This husband and wife team did such a great job removing pet stains that had been sitting in there for far too long. They were very courteous and you could tell they were genuine and hard working. Our neighbors even complimented the freshness of their job. Will be seeking their work in the future when we get new furniture for their scotch guard upholstery protection.

I was initially hesitant about using someone I found through the site. But after reading the profile and speaking with the owner on the phone, I was at ease. The response was prompt and I was not charged more than my estimate I recived over the phone like I had been with other carpet cleaners in the past. There were some tough stains on my cream colored carpet from my puppy and my 4 year old and also an odor that i was both embarrassed and irritated. I was thoroughly happy with the results of the service! From the way the carpet looked to the professionalism of the company. This is definitely a company I will be using again! I would recommend anyone that's looking to beautify their carpets to use Tykoon.

WOW....we were in a rush to have our 3x2 bedroom home carpet cleaned as we were moving out soon and we used Thumbtack to identify have a dozen firms qualified for the job. I called a few and Atomic Cleaning Pros were very reasonable and professional in their quote capping their price since I didn't actually know how big our rooms were. They showed up on time and did a masterful job on the carpet with several wine and pet stains removed as well. The home was almost 40% larger then I had thought but they stayed with their quoted price which was the lowest of all 6 firms I surveyed. Finally, the power kept going off at our home and it took them a little longer than usual due to the inconvenience but they stuck to their price and did a perfect job. Atomic Cleaning Pros is my go to carpet cleaner for all my future needs and Thumbtack was a cool and efficient place to find my cleaning needs. PS...I even had a problem with my plank floors and Atomic Cleaning pros fixed that for free while they were there....AMAZING!

I have utilized the services of Nico’s Carpet care for approximately 20 years. Over the years Nico has cleaned my furniture, carpet, and area rugs. Currently, I have 2 large dogs and 1 cat and anyone with animals will tell you that pets soil furniture, carpet and rugs faster than even heavy foot traffic. Nico has always done a fabulous job cleaning my furniture, carpet, and area rugs while removing any stains and pet odors. Not only does Nico clean my home area rugs but he also keeps my office carpet clean and looking like new. The carpet in my 1,000 square foot office gets daily oil and parking lot grease tracked all over the carpet from numerous delivery personal dropping off mail and other business packages. Whether it’s my home or office, Nico removes the stubborn stains and odors. When Nico cleans my rugs and carpets they look brand new. I would recommend Nico’s to anyone. He really provides a high quality service and the personnel are always helpful and polite. You can’t go wrong by calling Nico for you upholstery, carpet, and area rug cleaning needs.

We all love our pets but not so much at times, especially when there is an accident the carpet. When this happens you must call in the experts from Los Angeles Carpet Cleaning Experts to take care of the problem. Trying to clean it yourself will very often drive the stain deeper into the carpet causing an odor problem that will be difficult to remove and ruining the carpet and even staining the floor below. When your pet does something to your carpet that tries your patience, do not get angry just call Los Angeles Carpet Cleaning Experts.

Surfside was only outfit that said they could get the stains out and DID IT. Perry even got down into the padding and sub-flooring. All others tried and failed. Only ones I use for homes and offices.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

Who cleans couches?

Even if your furniture doesn’t appear dirty or stained, your couches are collecting just as much dust, pollen, germs, pet hair and dander, and even food crumbs as your carpets. In general, the same professionals who clean your carpets and drapes can also clean your couches. Carpet cleaners usually offer upholstery cleaning services as well, and may offer a discount if you have your carpets cleaned at the same time. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of professional upholstery cleaners in your area who specialize in cleaning different types of upholstery fabrics, including delicate antique fabrics and other hard-to-clean materials such as suede. In addition to deep-cleaning the entire piece of furniture, sofa cleaners can spot-treat food, pet, and oil and grease stains. Most professionals also offer services to sanitize and deodorize your furniture and apply protectants to prevent future stains. As with carpets, experts recommend that you have your upholstered furniture cleaned once every year or two, depending on how much use it gets and whether you have children and pets.
