My love affair with Music began at 14 years old and grows stronger every day. By age 18 I was playing in an 8 piece dance band gigging around the Bay Area. Since then I have had the great fortune of traveling down many musical roads, performing in diverse settings from R&B, Blues, and Jazz to Rock, Folk, Country and Church Music.
In 25 years of professional playing experience I have had the opportunity to share the stage with major label rock artists The Tubes and the Crash Test Dummies and neo-soul sensation Goapole. I have also had the privilege of jamming with blues organ legend Al Kooper and jazz luminaries Stanley Jordan and Calvin Keys. Being the house bassist for open mic blues jams in the north Bay has blessed me with the opportunity to play with and learn from a lot of great musicians.
I have studied music at City College of San Francisco and College of Marin including music theory, ear training, jazz improvisation, piano and big band jazz ensemble.
Being the very proud parent of a beautiful 13 year old daughter has opened a door in my heart which has led to a passion for teaching children as well as adults. I have spent the last 9 years teaching regularly and have discovered a whole new level of satisfaction in sharing what i have learned so far!
