Chris officiated our wedding in August 2014, at the Seymour Marine Center in Santa Cruz, CA. Leading up to the wedding, he walked us through the process, what to consider, and provided us with samples of ceremonies. His guidance and good humor ensured that we were relaxed the day of, and his ceremony was beautiful - balancing formality and humor, poetry and prose. It was exactly what we wanted: classic but still personal to us. His calm and relaxed presence was reassuring when we were overtaken by the emotion of the moment, and he took care of all the paperwork from beginning to end. We were lucky to be married by Chris!

July 1979 - Chris Johnson married my wife and I on the beach in the Santa Cruz/ Soquel area. As with all marriages things were hectic from the bride and groom point of view. Mr. Johnson took care of all the details that we never even thought about. Not only the license and recording, but making sure everyone was in their proper space. All went smooth. Considering this all took place on a public beach is a testament to his organizational skills as well as his ability to handle the ceremony in a dignified and orderly manner. We have been happily married for 35 years.
