I've worked with a few personal trainers over the years and I have to say that hands down, Evan is the best trainer I have ever worked with. I started working out with Evan over a year ago. I have chronic low back pain, and had just had a procedure that was meant to reduce swelling and allow me to exercise more and strengthen my core. I had been doing physical therapy for awhile, but found that the workouts were too mellow, and I didn't really notice any improvement in my core strength. My wife had actually been working out with Evan for a few months and she recommended I try a few workouts with him. Evan has been amazing. The workouts are intense and challenging. He focuses on doing intervals of a quick series of strengthing exercises, with a burst of cardio in between sets that keeps your heart rate elevated for the entire workout. Given my back issues, he is very good about checking in to make sure he is not stressing or straining my lower back (or any other injury I might have picked up). I have noticed dramatic improvement in my core strength and overall fitness in my time with Evan. He also has been willing to email me personalized workouts I can do on my own for days when I'm not working out him. I agree with all the other posts here -- 5 stars. Evan is great.
Gerard is a great personal trainer, highly knowledgable I highly recommend him! He knows how to strike a balance between keeping the work out fun, yet, efficient. In addition to PT, he offers classes and incorporates Beachbody challenge exercises. My favorite is the Abb-session class.
Kip is seriously a top notch personal trainer who knows how to TRANSFORM bodies. Not only does he push you to your best potential, he knows how to advise nutrition for the best results. Sebastian has been my personal trainer for over 1 year. Originally, I wanted to cross-train and improve my physical fitness to address a chronic back injury and felt like what I was doing on my own wasn't enough. I was hesitant to hire a trainer or join a bootcamp group because I didn't like the idea of someone yelling at me or pushing me too hard or, on the flip-side, not hard enough. I knew Sebastian from our shared dance background, so I trusted that he was not that kind of trainer, and sure enough - he isn't! He is friendly, warm, and kind. He has incredible breadth of knowledge and experience when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and how the human body works. He inspires you to greater fitness! He is flexible when it comes to scheduling, and adjusts week to week to meet personal needs. I alternate between individual and his group bootcamp sessions. Sessions are usually outdoors - which I love! It's been fun exploring the hills of SF and not being tethered to a gym and cumbersome equipment. Whether for the individual or a group, each session Sebastian plans is interesting, challenging, and varied. I have learned a wider range of work out vocabulary and now when I travel or have to train on my own, I am better equipped to do so. I know I am healthier, stronger, and have much greater stamina now than when I started with Sebastian. His training has incredibly improved my performance in my other physical pursuits such as dance and rock climbing. He may have also somehow managed to get me to enjoy running. How, I still haven't figured out, but it's a minor miracle. Now, the negative side: If you train with this man, you must have a high tolerance for puns and references involving your biceps and "The Fourth of July." Also, there may be rapping Seriously though, I hope I train with Sebastian for many years to come - I'm having a blast!
Simply put, I cannot say enough about Andrew as my personal trainer. My results the past eight months on losing body fat, gaining lean muscle, strength, balance and flexibility are proof that he knows what works and what doesn’t. Each session with Andrew is challenging and informative. He knows just how far to push me and then pushes a little further! I am especially grateful for his knowledge of body mechanics and injuries, due to his background in PT. Having had ACL reconstruction on both knees due to sports injuries in my teens and early twenties it was important for me to have a trainer that understood these injuries. I highly recommend Andrew as a personal trainer, my experience has been nothing short of stellar!
Donna Woll is an extraordinary personal trainer. I have worked with her as I have gone through a long period of physical injuries. She has always been supportive and encouraging and has designed workouts for me that are challenging but attainable throughout this time. I started out with personal training and then added Cornelius' Boot Camp and am really loving getting/staying in shape! I am getting a customized program and measurable results. He does periodic assessments so my goals and program are always changing. The girls are great, the workouts are fun and challenging. Cornelius is a great trainer!
