In addition to his professional instruction in Spanish vocabulary, grammar, syntax and idiom, Jacek provided nuanced insight into our study. He is uniquely prepared to present the study of the Spanish language holistically with its unique nuances.

I have been taking Spanish lessons from Ms. Price. She is incredibly personable, knowledgeable and helpful. My Spanish skills have soared since I've started with her. Very friendly, she is an excellent teacher. She knows where weak points are and knows how to explain advanced subjects in a way which is very understandable. I am definitely going to continue lessons and I highly recommend Ms. Price to anyone who is seeking to improve their language skills.

Lina is an absolutely fantastic tutor. I have had Spanish lessons and tutorials on and off for the past 15 years and she stands out as exceptional. She is very open and flexible to adapting the tutorials to whatever you would like to study/discuss and suits you best (which contrasts somewhat to a few previous Spanish tutors I have had in the past, who forced me to learn things I had already learned previously). Her enthusiasm and encouragement are second to none, and her many years of teaching are very clear. Having taught many students in private tutoring for maths and science myself, I was certainly inspired by her teaching methods. Her tutorials are a joy, and even after only a few lessons I am already a lot more confident in my speaking and listening skills. Thank you Lina!

I had a fantastic experience with IDESLI. I logged on to Thumbtack one morning to find a Spanish tutor. I needed help brushing up on my speaking skills for a new job. Literally within an hour, I was corresponding with IDESLI, and they were pairing me with a classes package and a program that was a perfect fit for my needs. I started classes the following day! IDESLI was professional, friendly, and did I mention well-located? Right in the heart of the Financial District. I worked with Carolina, who knew that the most important thing for me was to talk a lot in Spanish, so we had some great conversations, and she helped me throughout with learning lingo, colloquial terms, etc. She also gave me some more formal homework on remembering verb conjugation and vocabulary that was specifically relevant to my field. I hope to continue participating in the IDESLI community by attending some of their upcoming Spanish movie nights. :)

Libby has a wonderful rapport with my son, who she tutors in spanish. He is always excited to see her, and eager to see what new book she has brought with her to the session. Her intelligence, patience and warmth, plus her ability to really "see" my son and find out what motivates him, make her an excellent tutor. I highly recommend her!

I have 14 years of teaching experience in the Bay Area. I have been teaching kids, middle-school, and high school students. I also can help adults with grammar, vocabulary and conversation. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication from Mexico, and studied Early Childhood Education in California because I enjoy working with children. Since 2011 I teach Spanish at Danville Senior Center. I enjoy preparing material for each student to help them learn at their best. Each student is unique and learns in a special way, so I adjust my teaching to each one. I use varied materials as board games and songs for little kids. And I have excellent material for middle and high school students. Some students learn better in a small environment, and for learning a new language, I think it's better. Private classes or small group classes available. Conversation, grammar, reading and writing. Convenient location very close to Cal High. I have openings for next Fall 2014 for these groups of kids: -4 years old: Thursdays 10:00-11:30 am -5-6 years old: Tuesdays 1:30-2:30 pm -6-7 years old: Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 pm I would recommend the groups above for kids who have been exposed to Spanish before. These kids are in the process of reading, writing and conjugating verbs. These are small groups (4-5 kids), some have been with me for 2-3 years, and interested in continue learning and improving in their conversation, reading and writing of the language. I'm interested in opening a middle-school or high school group where students can expand and revised the curriculum from school. I offer a small and nurture environment for learning. If you have a group of friends interested in learning to read, write and continue learning Spanish in a fun environment, I can organize a class according to your needs.

Sylvia is tutoring my daughters in Spanish. They never had Spanish before, and when they moved to a new school, the level of Spanish is very advance for someone who never had the lessons. Sylvia works with them in getting them up to speed. In a short time, both my children had become comfortable in following the lesson at school, and I have noticed that both of them have made quite significant improvements. My oldest daughter tells me that once she is comfortable with her Spanish, she wants to start French with Sylvia. I am sure that if either of my kids need tutoring in Math, Sylvia would be the one we go to. If your child or children need extra help in academic, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you call Sylvia. My children are very happy with how she teaches. Sylvia is also opens to different approaches in teaching. If my kids want more challenge, all they have to do is tell Sylvia and she will give them challenging lessons.
