I carry two national certifications for personal training. I am a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer and am also certified by NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association). Furthermore, I hold a bachelor's degree from Cal State Fullerton and served in the United States Air Force. I also have seven years experience in martial arts where I taught both children and adults.
The following are my training approach and philosophy:
Choosing your trainer is like choosing a doctor. This person will be responsible for your overall physical fitness/well-being, and someone you will spend a great deal of time with, to achieve your goals. Therefore, you must look around and find the trainer whose philosophy, approach and personality will be a good fit for you.
My approach is holistic. In other words, I address the whole picture: nutrition, exercise and fitness, as well as lifestyle. In my opinion, attention to all three is necessary and vital to achieving one's goals. As a team, you and I would create a nutrition plan that is both realistic and maintainable, discuss your current lifestyle, and evaluate how it affects your goals and if necessary, make adjustments. We will also determine your fitness level and needs via assessments, to best develop an individualized plan that is specific to your needs and goals.
My approach and rapport with my clients are extremely personal. We will be a team after all, trying to achieve your goals together. I make myself available 24 hours a day via phone or email to answer nutrition/fitness questions you may have. Often, my clients will call or text while at the grocery store to ask for my advice with regards to one food or the other. This is just one example of the level of service I provide.

Simply put, I train anyone who is committed to achieve their goals whether it is weight loss, muscle growth, arthritis relief, sports performance, overall fitness, etc.
