I originally hired Rebecca as an editor to assist with a book I was self-publishing. Her editing skills are superior and she is easy to work withresponsive, intelligent, and helpful. She then performed some graphic design and website work, to which I was quite pleased with the results. I finally enlisted her services for a resume and cover letter revamp. I was hired immediately upon submitting my new documents. If I could give Rebecca more stars I would.
Frankly speaking, you need Pavita. Your search for an editor can stop today and your writing project will be in impeccable hands. With this being my first book, I had heard horror stories about the editing process, so I researched my options carefully. I desired an editor that would be not only skillful, but be passionate and willing to be seen as a partner during my editing process. Enter PavEDITa. Not only did she create a safe space to make mistakes, but she comprehensively edited my manuscript within a reasonable timeline and budget. My positive experience with her has resulted in me being fueled to finish my writing goals sooner that I anticipated. She exudes a love for her craft and provides excellent customer service to content creators. I am grateful that I chose Pavita and I'm proud to have her on my team. You will be too. Soothe your mind and hire her...today.

Undoubtedly the best experience with an editor I've had. I look forward to working with her more as I embark on my journey through grad school. If I could give more stars, I would! You will have nothing to regret by selecting Textrous for your editing needs!
Jeff was fantastic. He is knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. He met a quick turnaround (10 days) deadline to edit my book for content, structure, and grammar. I would recommend him, and will definitely use him again for future projects! As an author, I was seeking an editor who would work with my voice to bring it out more - not change it. Jeff brought a great balance of clarity and direction, while balancing and polishing my voice - not inserting his. After interviewing two other editors and working with one in the past, this seems a rarer commodity than it sounds. His fees are also comparable to industry competitors, and reasonable. I will definitely use Jeff again for future editing and feedback about my writing!
Relieved, that's how I felt once I began working with Michael. I knew my story was solid, but needed help. From the beginning his feedback was invaluable. In written comments he helped me develop stronger three-dimensional characters, tighten the tone, pace, tension, and that all-important narrative voice. After his initial assessment I did the first of three rewrites. Each version was better. Michael was spot-on with suggestions of where I needed to restructure a scene or reflect a character's underlying motivation. He was so helpful with the big picture, offering specific examples and suggestions for how to improve. Honest but tactful, Michael was easy to work with, completely professional in reviewing the work and getting back to me in a reasonable period of time. I've worked with other editors and been less satisfied. Michael created a feeling of partnership on the project. I have no doubt my book is better because of our work, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again
Samantha Giles is an excellent editor and writer. She's worked with me in a developmental capacity on several projects (grants, proposals). Kate is an incredibly talented editor. She's fast, friendly and catches all those little annoying mistakes that otherwise would slip through the cracks. I highly recommend Kate and Black Dot Writing!
As a pre-med student, with the ultimate goal of attending medical school, I have taken several exams over the years with hopes of achieving grades that would make me a competitive applicant to medical school. The one thing that was missing from my application was a well written personal statement, which unfortunately science classes do not help prepare you for all that well. I have written lab reports and research articles but a story about my life and journey was beyond my writing abilities. Scott absolutely saved the day. His ability to explain the process of writing a story that captivates a reader was fantastic. He spent as much time with me as I needed and helped me write the perfect personal statement for medical school. Scott has helped me more than I could ever repay him and I am positive he will be able to help you with any of your writing needs as well.
If there's one thing I love about Marian, it's the clarity of her voice as a writer. Read anything she's written on her blog, and she basically leaps off the page. Marian helped me create copy and messaging for my own brand, and she helped me to find my own authentic voice as a business owner. On top of that, she's a pleasure to work with and an excellent editor. I can't recommend her highly enough!

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Mary. She is a top-notch writer, editor, and person---so insightful, extremely professional, and profoundly helpful. She has done both line edits, and deeper edits on my manuscript, How Sweet the Bitter Soup, a memoir. Her insights and perspective have been invaluable to me. She has an eye, and the heart, to see angles and nuances as well as the essence of a piece of writing. Her edits have made me think and see my work in an even better light, and I come away from every conversation with her feeling excited and grateful. I'm so glad I met her, and I will most definitely continue to use her professional editing and mentoring services.
Kristen edited my PhD dissertation in psychology superbly. She strengthened the quality of my writing significantly, taught me a number of techniques to improve further, and worked extremely quickly and professionally. I would recommend Kristen to anyone looking for a great teacher, writer or editor.
Julian is a thorough editor with a keen eye for detail. He has edited everything from essays to manuscripts for me and has taken my work from good to great. He is proficient at syntactical and grammatical feedback, but he has offered developmental and global insights on my work that ultimately made it publishable. I am always recommending Julian and his writing services to my friends, and I will continue to use Julian for all my writing projects in the future.
