Carlos is a very energetic DJ originally from Guatemala. He keeps the mood cheerful and entertaining throughout wedding toasts, introducing the bridal party, and starting the special dances. He mixed a combo of the songs that I provided to him and the songs he knew would keep my wedding guests dancing.

Jessica was my day of coordinator and our wedding day was perfect!!! There wasn't any hiccups at all that day, well at least none that I knew about. Her and Dustin were fabulous and on top of it. I was a pretty organized bride and I didn't mind doing a lot of the planning so I didn't feel like I needed the partial planning services, but it was helpful knowing someone was double and triple checking all my contracts. She reminded me of the small important details. We met a week prior to the rehearsal and she made a precise timeline, she was able to put me at ease and I was able to trust her with everything. Jessica also handled our rehearsal, great. My bridal party loved her, and listened to anything she told them to do. I explained to her exactly what I wanted and she executed it perfectly. Couldn't have been any better and I wouldn't change a thing! Thank you so much Jessica and Dustin

Mary was FANTASTIC!!! I’m so thankful we went with her!!! She does BEAUTIFUL MAKE-UP for a great price!!!! All of my bridal party, including myself and my Mom totaled 11 girls had their make-up done. Mary also brought her wonderful assistant Brianna to keep everything on schedule and we were done early! Mary is so accommodating, and even did a free trial for me in October. I had so many compliments on my Make-up that two of my Bridesmaids want to book her for their weddings in 2018. Thank you to Mary for being wonderful, sweet, and puncutial!!! She took so much stress and pressure off of me on my wedding day Dec. 22nd, 2017.

I am soooo late writing this - about a year! I hired Hienny for my wedding last April 1, 2017 Hienny was great to work with and really understood my vision. She came to my home for my hair and makeup trial, which I did befrore my engagement photos. She also put together a team for the day of the wedding to do hair and makeup for my whole bridal party - 9 bridesmaids and my mother and I. It was certainly a circus with a few tiny timing hiccups - but considering the sheer workload we were all very happy! Everyone looked beautiful! I definitely recommend her - she's easy to talk to and understands all the latest trends and has a well stocked kit. Now that I have moved to Newport Beach and closer to her I will be calling her for events! I'l try to uplaod a few photos if the sizing will alow me. Thanks again Hienny!

I was hesitant about hiring a wardrobe consultant but I am so glad that I did. Sophie is amazing! She is down-to-earth, efficient, warm and professional. I am thrilled with my new wardrobe that I would have never bought without Sophie's help. She knew exactly what would look good on me and made the shopping experience fun instead of a hassle. Fran

I had the best experience with the girls of One Last Frog! I had a wedding, they coordinated and it was phenomenal! We were able to sit down and I gave a clear and concise idea of how I NEEDED my wedding day to go and they were on top of it the whole day and it took so much stress off my back which allowed me to enjoy my day. Not to mention the complementary mimosa bar that was set up in the bridal room, such a thoughtful and appreciate touch! If I could do it over again I would for sure choose these ladies of One Last Frog!

Kelli did makeup for a wedding I was in this past December. I honestly couldn't have imagined a better person for the job! She was thorough, skilled, extremely friendly, and readily answered any question I had about the products she used (and recommended some great ones for future use). Kelli had the bridal party (and most importantly, the bride!) at ease, laughing, and looking FABULOUS on an incredibly important day. I look forward to booking her for any events I have in the future where I require someone of her skills, and wouldn't think of looking elsewhere!

I found Tasha on Tumbtack after spending several hours researching other Image Consultants and I can not be happier ! I needed help with getting an outfit together for a wedding I was attending, plus just wanted to sharpen up my image over-all. I am an interior designer by trade and, dealing primarily with high-end clientele, it is very important that I look professional, elegant, current, unique and still maintain my own personal creative flair without breaking the bank. If I calculate how much money and time I wasted on returns and ill-fitting clothes I want to cry ! It was a very worthwhile investment for me. I think her rates are reasonable; what I ended up spending on her consulting rate saved me more than double on good quality items that were uniquely tailored to me AND we stayed well below my budget. I was also surprised by how many wonderful items she "shopped for" in my own wardrobe. She put together things that I would never of dreamed of so effortlessly and with so much enthusiasm and tact that I can't wait to work with her again on my winter wardrobe! I have gotten so many compliments since then and, just yesterday, I wore one of my Tasha outfits and was told that I looked very chic at one of the high-end furniture stores in the design quarter where I shopped for a client. I look and feel so much better and can confidently go to any meeting without deliberating and agonizing for hours about what to wear. It was worth every penny and she was amazing with feedback and questions. Highly recommended! Thanks Tasha and hooray to whomever invented Image Consultants! She's a keeper.

I loved working with Jessica! She was my Day-Of Coordinator for my wedding, and she did an amazing job! During the preparation process, she thought of so many details that never would have occurred to my husband and me. On the day of the wedding, she did an excellent job of coordinating all the vendors while also keeping my bridal party and me on track. I highly recommend Jessica!

EKYN is such a cute little salon, very clean and well decorated. Marissa has a lot of knowledge about hair and she was soo helpful in telling me what was the best choices to transform it. As she was working with my hair, she told me every single step of the process and why. Marissa even introduced me to a new product that would help fix my oily hair! I'm so thankful to have found her through thumbtack. I will definitely go back to Marissa for all of my hair needs!!

Heidi was amazing to work with when planning my little sister’s gorgeous bridal shower. Heidi was attentive to detail and came up with unique ideas to make the day extra special. She was quick to respond to emails and very professional. Heidi provided a detailed breakdown of the budget and was creative in finding alternative options to stay within budget. Heidi did a beautiful job on the décor and her floral designs were breathtaking. Heidi’s fabulous planning and décor created a special event that my family will have fond memories of for years to come. I highly recommend Heidi’s event planning, design and floral services and will turn to her for any future events.

About

When I looked at the resources out there today regarding relationships, interpersonal skills, and image, there seems to be an immense amount of information catered specifically towards women, and very few for men. For instance, magazines like Cosmopolitan, countless amount of books, TV shows, and businesses solely exist to help women improve their quality of life by sharing techniques and knowledge regarding lifestyle, fashion, and dating. But, when I searched for the same advice regarding men, it became a difficult task with only a handful of resources left for me to choose. When you consider how important having interpersonal skills, managing a healthy lifestyle, and creating an image is and how it can affect our careers, friends, family, and happiness, it becomes an essential skill to have to succeed in today's world. I have spent the last 8 years culminating my knowledge, living it, and teaching it. The Gentleman's Lifestyle consultation is for men in all stages of life, young and old. I have taught lost teenagers, corporate businessmen in their 30's, and college students hungry for success. My consultation is all about getting men to reach their full potential. For some, they might want to improve their lifestyle, interpersonal skills, and image to help them get a promotion, someone who's starting a business and wants to look the part of a CEO, or someone who wants to learn how to talk to girls and succeed. What I do is all about tailoring a plan that suits your needs and beliefs. Since I customize and tailor all my one-on-one sessions, I charge a flat hourly rate to give you a hassle-free experience. That's why I have a 100% satisfaction money back guarantee behind every one of my sessions, so if for any reason you feel you are not satisfied with my service, a full refund will be issued ASAP. During our first meeting, I will go through a 30-minute intake interview with you. This interview process will help me gather enough information for me to create an in-depth plan to suit your needs. By the end of the intake interview, I will give you an approximate timeline for your transformation.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

    • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
    • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
    • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.
    • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
    • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
    • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
    • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
    • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
    • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

    What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
    • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
    • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
    • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
    • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
    • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
