Latest Review: Clifford is working on a creative new project to compose music to a new set of lyrics I have written. Working with a piano he'd never seen before, on a project he'd never seen before, he quickly got into the creative and fun spirit of it, and in a short time, in our first session, he had most of the music nailed. I am looking forward to the upcoming tweaks to make a good project even better. Clifford is very talented, he has great knowledge of music, and a creative spirit. He is comfortable working in your world, but in doing so, he brings his considerable professionalism to bear. That makes you want to be more serious as a student, because you realize that a master is there teaching you. will be taking piano lessons from Clifford when the current project is completed. Thank you, Clifford!

Latest Review: I am an adult beginning piano student of Juan's. I couldn't be more pleased. Juan always begins a lesson by asking if I have any questions and listening to me play. He then decides what we should work on. The focus is usually on the process of learning a piece. For example, together we figure out fingering that feels best for my hands. Its fun as problem solving. Juan chooses music well suited for his teaching approach. And the music itself is very enjoyable to play.

Latest Review: Our three children (ages 5, 6, 8) were Piano students of Ms. Roxy. We were saddened when Ms. Roxy had to move away. Roxy is an EXCELLENT teacher. She is patient with the kids. She is very professional in setting and holding reasonable expectations for the kids. Her teaching approach is holistic, providing a deep sense of appreciation for music. The kids love her and you will too!

Latest Review: Both of our kids ( 12 and 10 ) are having a nice time with Lynn while learning their drills. She connects with them individually and helps them learn their drills in a smooth way. Our daughter loves her voice and piano lessons. On the other hand, our son did not want to take piano lessons at all but after a few lessons with Lynn, he decided to stay with it! How great is that! Thank you so much Lynn!!! :-) I am happy and looking forward to seeing more of their progress!

Latest Review: Amy is a terrific teacher. An outstanding, Curtis-trained musician herself, Amy brings the exacting precision of high level artistry to her pedagogy, but at the same time makes it fun. She is a perfectionist with regard to technique and focuses in with laser precision on flaws in bowing, finger position, wrist flexibility, posture and, of course, the myriad elements of musical interpretation. You really feel like you've gotten a thorough work out by the time it's over, yet she's always cherubic! She also makes it seem like a mutual, adventurous discovery, even though it's all got to be cello 101 for her--which I appreciate since I'm an older student. She happily shares her vast knowledge, spanning all periods of music from the medieval to the post-modern, and has thoughtful insights on musicology, currents in musical development, even theories of tuning. A talented pianist, Amy can accompany on the piano as well, which is a bonus. But when she accompanies you on the cello, she makes even a beginner sound like a pro. She also speaks excellent Italian! Perhaps the greatest compliment I can add after all this is that I bring my daughter for cello lessons with Amy as well. I recommend her to cellists at any level from beginner to pros just needing an intelligent set of ears.
