Very professional editor. Learned a lot from her. She responds promptly.... I recommend her.....
To start, I and terrible past experiences with editors. A friend convinced me to review Thumbtack for an editor, and I hired Ellie to edit my dissertation. At first, I was skeptical. I did not want to spend hard earned money on a writing critique from a stranger when I knew I could do it myself. I felt the if I hired someone that editor would merely find grammatical mistakes and email my project back to me. Ellie was different; she was amazing. She approached my project as a learning opportunity and not just a grammatical essay. Her comments were straight to the point, and she gave me insight from a veteran professor's point of view. Ellie even offered to prepare me for my Proposal Defense. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help with a thesis, dissertation or other writing projects.
I had a wonderful experience with Temi. I consulted with multiple high profile editors for my capstone project, and she stood out the most to me. It is vital to hire an editor that is both professional and empathetic because the process of attaining a doctoral degree is stressful enough on its own.
They've edited six or seven books for me and, unlike editors from larger publishing houses, working with them has been a refreshing delight.
She is GREAT! She was completely available and responsive. I am a new writer and she helped keep me on task and even offered confidence building comments. Her work on my manuscript was excellent. She worked through a good deal of dialogue and narrative that was broken. We have created a comprehensive text. I am impressed and will continue to work with her going forward. I highly recommend her as an editor.
Skip took on a job that was pretty big and what made matters worse, a person that had just neglected the fundamentals of writing. It's not that I don't know them, I was just too lazy to apply them the way they should be. He reminded me of it. I asked him to be brutally honest and he was. The wonderful thing about him, he later pointed out the good things I was doing right and eventually made my confidence skyrocket. The job your asking me to describe is not only Skip helping me with the book I am working on, but him guiding me and restoring my confidence to get me back in the fight after being knocked down by life, people and dare I say editors and publishers. He made me realize putting forth my best effort in a world that is so competitive is just too important to forget. You ask what went well with Skip? Everything, but what stood out the most was his honesty and clarity of various situations and problems. The quality of his work and guidance is excellent and I couldn't ask for any better advisor. Nothing could improve my experience with him, that's how impressed I am with him. Thanks Skip and I look forward to continuing to work with you. Sincerely, Jeffrey L. Ivory
I went to Jillian when I needed help applying for Colleges. English was always my weakest subject, and I was incredibly anxious to begin writing my submission essays. A friend of mine had been bragging about a tutor he used, and told me that she was also an editor. As soon as I contacted Jillian, I knew I would like working with her. She is committed, efficient and incredibly smart. With Skype sessions and a few in person meetings, Jillian not only helped me get through my essays, but she has improved my all around English Proficiency. Jillian offers a personalised and professional service, and is profoundly knowledgable about English and Literature. To this day, I return to Red Pen Wench whenever I need help or advice on any of my work, and I continue to recommend her to my friends and family. I couldn't speak higher of her.
Tanya Besmehn at Several Stories High Writing answer my inquiry very fast. She gave me a very affordable quote for my book. I know I am going to enjoy working with her.
Celia Pool has edited a few of my novels, and done a fabulous job. Taking her time, she has not only corrected my grammar, but has also made invaluable suggestions on some of my wording. She has also been fair when objecting to writings that she felt were not up to par with my better material.
John Stickler polished my book of more than 93,00 words and 352 pages. I was very satisfied with his work, which turned friendly and even he helped find a publisher and arranged with my representative in Congress to have a written opinion. His price was also affordable than others'. Actually, I gave him two more stories (for children) to polish and correct.
Rudy has terrific technical writing skills. His writing skills are equally precise and accurate in English and Spanish. It was a pleasure to work with Rudy as he edited my work.
Caroline helped me edit a speech I gave to a group of eighty women at a church retreat. Her comments were insightful. Working with her helped to clarify my thoughts and tighten my presentation.
Amy is all about focus. That's what I gained from working with her on several different writing projects: a better understanding of how to focus my work. Amy cares about the unity and clarity of the final product, and she's passionate and thorough in her guidance toward those ends. With Amy, you're asked to consider what each sentence adds to the whole. She hates waste and has a keen eye for it. Through working with her, I've developed a better sense of writing as communication - how to get an idea across, how different readers will interpret different words and concepts, how editors and publishers will judge writing in ways the novice writer might not be prepared for. I think of myself as a more astute writer for Amy's guidance, with a clearer understanding of the place my writing can have in the world. But the best thing about working with Amy is getting to discuss writing with someone who cares about the craft in a more than superficial way. Amy isn't just a teacher; she's a scholar and a stylist, a creator and a critic. Her knowledge and interests cover a wide range of topics and disciplines, and she brings that rounded background to bear on each project she takes on. I'm lucky to have had her in my corner.
Colin is an incredibly gifted writer and editor. He knows how to identify his audience and write accordingly in a way that's genuinely engaging. He has written and edited web copy, blogs advertising and more for us with fantastic results.
Designed website for our company and has done important letters for us. Her knowledge of words and what they mean is fantastic. She teaches very well, too. Very competent in this area and I've seen her explain things to people that are very difficult to do.
Duke edited my epic fantasy series of over 1 million words. My publisher had me cut down the word count because it was to much to publish and Duke helped me with the process. I couldn't have completed my series without him. He worked exclusively with me for six months to help me get my series how I wanted it. A master editor and ghostwrite (hell, the parts he helped me write were better than my own stuff!) and I wouldn't work with anybody but Duke. Thanks, man.
Shaula is a professional and highly competent editor. I send everything I write to her, be it chapters of my novel, posts to my blog and even sometimes verbose emails. Her attention to detail is astounding and she not only proofreads exceptionally well, she also focuses on content and readability. She poses questions and comments on the things that work and the things that don't. Having a vast knowledge of literature and books, this makes her an excellent source to also bounce ideas of of, if one is worried about flow or plot problems. She can think it through and give her feedback. Shaula is more than just a proofreader, she's an editor. And she's the best one I've ever used!
i am very detailed oriented. I get things done and I don't stop until they are finished.
18 years best selling author, Annette Butler wrote Outcomes in Coding Practice. It is a college textbook, but I also have experience in the final editing process and have a good eye for a great story.
I am a full-time, highly professional medical writer who never misses a deadline. I obtained my BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, followed by my PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Cambridge, UK. Subsequently, I completed a post-doc and worked as an Assistant Professor at the Mattel Children's Hospital, UCLA. While at UCLA I ran the monthly grand rounds clinical conference series, so am completely comfortable with a variety of medical fields and terminology. I have an unparalleled breadth of research experience, and have written and/or edited hundreds of medical and scientific manuscripts, grants, abstracts, posters, presentations, websites, books, and more, including (but not limited to) those related to hematology, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, oncology, cell biology, nutrition, aging, and molecular biology. This means that I bring a huge depth of knowledge and experience to my work as a medical writer and editor. No project is too large or too small. I can help you whether you require content for your new website, a conference abstract or presentation, a scientific manuscript, CME content, and much more. I also offer a variety of turnaround times and budgeting options to help us forge a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.
I've been a professional Copy Editor for 13 years. I have a great eye for finding mistakes and can help you put your best food forward. I offer verbatim and traditional proofreading, as well as technical editing and website editing. Here are more details of my services: Verbatim Proofreading: For court reporters, I will correct punctuation and sound-alikes and also flag inconsistencies and typographical errors. Whenever possible, I also verify names and places and have a proven track record of finding the correct name of that obscure reference you just couldn't put your finger on. Errata sheets available. Copy Editing / Proofreading: I will mark wording problems and correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and typographical errors. Technical Editing: In addition to editing the words in your technical document, I will verify consistent use of nomenclature, variables, tables, figures, and equations. I will also check for overuse of jargon and otherwise make sure that your document is technically precise. I will leave verifying derivations and analyses to you, the expert. Web Editing: I can proofread some or all of your Web site. Just tell me your URL. In addition to wording problems, I'll alert you to dated phrases. I will determine whether your site has any internal broken links, and if requested, check that other sites you link to are still active and correct.
