David is a great teacher who isn't doing this for the money but to teach the art of music. He has stayed at my house twice as long as what I payed for and added no extra charge. He also gives a wide range of ways to relate his teachings. (IE. I take bass lessons but we commonly go to the piano to practice and drill) all in all David is a great teacher and highly recommended. Definite 5 stars.

David met me today to pick my guitar and was a huge help in getting the right guitar for me and a couple of other things. I look forward to my weekly lessons with him with my beautiful new guitar.

Our son has been going to Gaving and Grayson at UpRock for over a year now and loves it plus is making great progress. This is all due to the great instruction and how the staff relate to younger students and they make it both fun and interesting personalizing the songs to the kids tastes and generally demonstrating a passion for their role as instructors. I am very impressed and would have no hesitation in recommending UpRock for your guitar lessons.

Guitar lessons in Roseville California. My instructor was ready, on time, prepared, and clearly knew what he was talking about. Their prices are reasonable, and their studio is clean and well maintained. I think they are a good place to learn guitar.

I highly recommend Bob as a music teacher for beginners, folks who play for enjoyment and professional musicians. He enhances the student's experience by focusing on the music student wants to learn. At the same time he intertwines ear-training and music theory with technique. Bob is a great guitar and music teacher. He was my first guitar teacher. In later years mentored me on how to teach music.

It has always been a musical learning experience beyond the notes on the page for me working with Bob. His knowledge of the history of both the instrument and the music, enriches the learning experience. Bob gives more than just quality music lessons. He shares his in depth knowledge and experience earned over a lifetime of playing and teaching in every lesson.

Bob is the best guitar teacher I have ever met. He's positive oriented, energetic, enthusiastic, student centered, patient, motivating, and a great musician in his own right. Whether you're a beginner or a professional, you will learn quickly and enjoyably from this teacher.

Chris Lee has been teaching my 11 year old son since May 2011. He’s been instructing my son in the following areas: • Electric guitar, • Bass guitar, • Harmonica, and • Reading/writing music. Chris is very patient and keeps my son motivated. The lessons are exciting which keeps my son interested and yearning to learn more. This helps in my son practicing without it being a chore. Chris encourages his students to write their own music using the computer and lined note sheets. He also gives my son confidence in his musical aspirations. I feel that Chris’ methods of instruction have helped my son excel in the musical area. My son is ready to begin taking a Jr. College level Music Theory class because of Chris’ instruction.

I have been playing guitar for around 20 years, mostly self taught. Over the years, I have tried out various lessons (online, multiple teachers, etc). Never have I experienced such an organized, thoughtful approach to learning your instrument than with Jason Bond. I've been with him for around 6 months. He can cater to your needs, but I prefer to follow his lead. It is like going to your own private music school (Jason is studying for his PhD in music). I am covering the basics of jazz and improving my theory, but also improving my blues/rock abilities. Jason will end your search for the ultimate guitar/music teacher! Also a great guy, thoughtful person, whom I now consider a good friend.

Jason has been an excellent instructor. I look forward to our weekly meetings because he is always easy to work with and I leave having learned something new. Very knowledgeable and eager to teach no matter what level you are at. I asked him to help me improve my improvisational playing and he's given me lessons plans that start with the theoretical basics and build up to playing along with jazz standards. Overall very satisfied with my experience!

I have been taking lessons with Jason for about 4 years now, and I have loved every minute of it. Jason is a phenomenal guitar player and has become a very close friend. I have learned a lot about playing the guitar with Jason, different techniques and different songs, as well as the theoretical knowledge to back it all up. Jason can turn anyone into a pro. He's the best.

The 44th note is an amazing company. My sons guitar lessons were great. He looked forward to the lesson every week. The encouragement he received made him feel good even after the lesson was over. Couldn't of asked for a better teacher. Thank you Jeff for helping my son not only learn the guitar but all feel better about himself.

Steven is a fun, gentle and very knowledgable guitar instructor. He taught me a lot the first few lessons and I look forward to working with him every week. He doesn't just teach, he performs regularly too. It's always good to work with someone that puts to use what they teach. It's encouraging working with someone who is so successful in his own music endeavors. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him as a guitar instructor.

Just stopped by to say thank you for the awesome job you did at our recent anniversary party celebration. Our friends are still talking about how much fun they had and how they didn't believe they had ever had that much fun dancing a night away (we couldn't agree more)! From your willingness to locate our (impossibly hard to find) special song to breaking out the guitar at the most appropriate of moments - wow, what a night it was! We really weren't sure it was worth it to hire a DJ - we now know better. Thanks again!

About

I am the lead guitarist in the band Fate Under Fire and I can help give you advice in becoming a musician.

About

Attention: Please contact me via text or email. I have been playing guitar for about 10 years, and I wish to share my knowledge. I specialize in teaching how to write original music. I have been performing live music since 2005, touring around the United States. I enjoy teaching beginner guitar courses to show basic chord progressions and how to incorporate those into writing original music. My teaching philosophy is that I like to make my students aware of the best guitar chords and techniques for a beginner to start with, which will make them familiar with the process of the big picture; a large part of that is also teaching what the student wants to learn. This approach makes the student want to continue playing and practicing the guitar, as opposed to sending them home with all different types of exercises, which can seem overwhelming and, sometimes, boring. Each one of my students receives a 10-minute CD with fun drum beats to play along with (when the time is appropriate, everyone learns at a different pace), as well as session recordings to teach them some basic recording techniques and to listen to what they have been learning. I hold lessons at my home in Dixon, CA, which is the most appropriate place to start with the lessons. I am willing to travel within a reasonable distance in the surrounding areas (additional fees will apply). I have a few packages to choose from. Standard rates are $40 per 1-hour session or $140 per month for 4 one-hour sessions per month. Also inquire about 30-minute sessions.

About

I've always felt that most guitar teachers are somewhat one sided. My curriculum consists of both tablature reading and musical notation. Being very strict on not only what is played but the quality it is being played at. I strive for cleanliness in my own practicing and performing and expect nothing less from my students.
