My name is Art. I'm 71 years old. I've been with Blackshear Fitness for about 5 years. Roger is an excellent trainer. Whether its weight loss, working with a persons disability, or training for an event, Roger has always worked with all of his clients to help them achieve their training goals. I personally have had Gall Bladder surgery, cataract surgery, shingles, and now I a deteriorating back and spinal column. Though it all, Roger had been patient and worked with me to bring me back. Kate is very knowledgeable, helpful, and motivating. I enjoy going to the boot camps any time I can go. I feel better and I am comfortable asking Kate any questions knowing she will give me the correct information and guidance that I need. Kate also makes it fun and challenging at the same time. I'm never bored and look forward to the new challenges every session.
Corona Adventure Boot Camp is a great place to get fit, have fun and lose those nagging unwanted pounds. I know several ladies in the IE who have lost 5-15 pounds with this boot camp class. Cool instructor, too!
I am a current EBC Camper that falls into the obese category. I am just keeping it real. Many believe that they are not capable of doing a boot camp style workout. I am here to tell you that with EBC its possible and results will come with consistency and persistence. My EBC journey began at the end of July 2014. At the start of camp, I weighed in at 283lbs. I was insulin resistant and pre-diabetic. I had high blood pressure and I was physically miserable from being so out of shape. I am pleased to tell you that through amazing coaching and guidance from Monique and Sean Patton, and other supportive campers, I have transformed my body, my lifestyle and my overall wellbeing. I have lost 60lbs. of fat; my diet is clean and all my pressures/numbers fall within the normal range. My EBC journey continues! I look forward to our sessions and being challenged as well as my continued transformation.
Goat Fitness has been one of the best things I have ever done. Like most women I know I struggle with my weight. I am small person ( 5 feet tall) so I feel like my weight goes up and down a lot. I have done diets and boot camps and everything worked for like 2 weeks but, I never really achieved the results I was looking for. I would loose like 5 lbs and stop losing weight. Not to mention I couldn't eat anything I wanted and the work outs were ridiculous. Lucky for me one of the girls I work with goes to Goat and she looks amazing and all she did was talk about how great this gym is. There are those people who LOVE working out .... I am not one of them and I don't understand the people (like my friend) who are super into it. But.... she looks great and she told me her trainer said she can have a bagel and cream cheese. That got my attention!!! Every work-out/ trainer I have ever seen has told me that I basically have to cut out everything I love to eat which for me is wine and cheese which sucks so I do it for 2 weeks then I stop losing weight and say screw it back to eating what I want. There is another way!!!! So I decided to go see this amazing trainer that allows you to eat foods you actually like. Lets just start with everyone at the gym is incredibly nice. I talked with Jon and he talked about getting the results I wanted and how to reasonably achieve them. He was honest and up front this isn't the place where you drop 20 lbs in a month first that isn't healthy and it typically doesn't taste or feel good. He explained that what I was looking for would yes take time but, we could certainly get there in a few months. I don't have ridiculous goals I just want skinny girl arms and to fit into a pair of pants like the average woman. I appreciated Jon's realistic approach to weight lost. We did all my measurements and he built me work outs that would help me get to where I wanted. Another great thing you can pick different packages so I picked the 30 minute training ones. I have never been so happy to work out. The work outs are definitely changeling but, they don't kill you ( you will be sore though) but, its over super fast! Back to the food because when I think weight loss I typically go to great well I can't eat this or this or.... and it goes on. I can have my wine and my cheese!! We set up my macros to show me I need this many: Carbs, Fats, and Proteins. I can eat those anyway I want!!! If I want to have wine that is fine I just need to make sure it fits into my macros. The trick is if I know I am going to have a glass of wine later its the first thing I put in my phone so I know I am having it and I see what else I have the rest of the day so I get my wine! This fits into my life which is more important to me. I work 2 jobs and don't have a ton of extra time. Most importantly they care they really do and they are very flexible. I am happy to say .... I fit the pants .... and I have wine & cheese :)
I have been struggling with depression and weight loss issues for the past two years and found no type of work out or diet regimine effective, until I met Ashely. Little did I know 4 years ago when I walked into the gym meeting Matt, he would be my personal trainer! I was on a mission to lose weight and make life style changes. I knew my height 3'11 would be a huge factor.Being short statured with dwarfism, Matt has showed me ways to adjust my workouts to use machines that are not adaptable to my size and still achieve awesome workout. He is very knowledge, helpful, a great motivator and continues to push me to accomplish my fitness goals. As of today I continue to train with Matt on a weekly basis. We are going full force with training and prepping me for my first women's physique competition in just a few weeks. Matt writes up amazing meal plans! Sticking with these plans, I have dropped more than 20% body fat and 34 plus pounds. I am very happy with the results and my transformation. I have been training with Morgan for almost 5 months now. Her boot camps are fun and challenging and have really whipped me into shape! I'll be 40 next month and have never felt better!
I was only with Edward for 3 months. By the first month I lost 11 pounds. I learned so much though! My starting weight was 151.1 and I dropped to 135. In my personal experience with edward, I can say that he is completely dedicated to his job! He works around your schedule. He gets to know you as you work out with him on a one on one basis. He is attentive on getting to know your strengths and weaknesses . Not once did I feel I couldn't achieve my goal. My greatest motivation was that he believed i could do iy, thus i did.He will reach out to you on a daily bases to motivate you to schedule the next work out session. For a trainer this good, I'd expect his prices to be super high, but on the contrary, they are less than reasonable (in my opinion) . With this review I just want to say thank you -abi
Maddie was my boot camp instructor and Pilates instructor. She is fabulous. I have worked with her for years which has meant that she has seen me through injuries, strength, and weakness and always knows how to adjust her motivation and her exercises to make sure that my workout is safe but challenging. Maddie actually cares beyond the time in the studio - she checks in, follows up, and never upsells or makes you feel bad. I appreciate her honesty and toughness but also her kindness. She is a hard worker and I will go back to her and Movement Integrity time and time again. She rocks.
Mr. Austin has been a very important milestone in my knowledge of the game. After only 3 lessons, I saw a 60% improvement in my abilities and an 80% improvement in my score. He has proven his years of expertise and the ability to impart that knowledge almost effortlessly. Very highly recommended.
Helped improve my push-ups, my running time, and my sit-ups. Great trainer who focuses on strengthening your weaknesses but at a decent pace! The workouts were also loads of fun :)
I have been working with Rob Lamb for nearly a year, and the one thing that I world tell any of his potential clients. Rob has a habit of giving you more then you pay for. He's not a clock watcher and will take the time make sure you get a great workout. If you belong to a gym, have a home gym, or no gym access at all he will tailor your workout and give you recommendations on what you should be doing between sessions with him. He also runs a free weekend boot camp for his clients and any guests that would like to try out his service. It's rare that I'd give any business a 5 star rating but I can't think of anything negative about my experience.
The boot camps are so much fun and energetic I felt good after every work out. Lauren knows what she's doing and I can't wait to train with her again. I look forward to training with her again.
