The contractor have contacted me after I left a bad review and apologized. He said that he forgot that we had an appointment. He refunded the prepaid services and added another 50 bucks on top as a sorry for the mistake (we didn't ask for it) and offered to do it for free instead as a sign of being sorry. However, we rejected the offer. I am changing my 1 star review to 4 star just for the effort to try and fix the situation. I understand things happen, but a heads up would have been nice and it the end of the day the appointment was just forgotten or never put on schedule.
PS: there was an issue with the phone number on profile (I tried calling the number on file 2x and left a message 2x on the day of the appointment, but my calls were never returned). Based on what he told me proper phone number was never updated on thumbtack due to system error. However, he did have my number because we spoke 2x couple of days before the appointment."See more
