I teach guitar and theory.
I am self taught, and then schooled, so my approach fits a lot of aspiring guitarists who have struggled to learn the secrets.
I play live quite often.
I don't believe in "those who can't do, teach". If somebody can't do it, you don't want to learn from them. You only want to learn from competent players in the industry.
Music and teaching are both forms of communication. A good teacher has to master both.
I have authored five instructional books, which you can see at my website. And I have three CDs out which are all in the jazz-rock fusion vein.
I'm currently working on two new books and a new CD.
I was once a co-owner of a guitar school in Sacramento called "The Guitar Activity Center", where I learned most of my group teaching skills.
Aside from my private instruction, I do a lot of clinics, workshops and teaching events.
I currently do all my private teaching at Northridge Music, on Greenback near Sunrise.
