I hired the vendor "2TipsyChicks" to tend a full bar at my home for my 50th Birthday party. My husband and I are both self-employed and respect the tenacity of a small business owner. In my line of work I rely on my list of reliable vendors I have put together for myself over the many years of my career, so when searching for a new vendor I take great diligence in researching reviews and comparing average rates. When I read the reviews for 2TipsyChicks I was quite impressed and found they demanded a premium price compared to other bartenders for hire. With knowing that, I felt confident in my decision. When Wendi, the owner, showed up she was accompanied by one assistant. From the moment of our first reaction I felt a sense of unfriendliness and she was very un-engaging. My adult Step Daughter was here from out of state and couldn't wait to have a drink made. The signature drink of the night was a very simple and common Moscow Mule, My step daughter said Wendi had to ask her how it was made and admitted to her she was only familiar with the taste of beer and Fireball. Right from the start, Wendi showed us her lack of knowledge of tending bar, no social skills, no work ethic and false advertisement of her services. During the night when the party was in full swing, many of my 70+ guests started to catch on that the "bartender" couldn't make mixed drinks or cocktails. My party planner noticed my guests ditching their drinks and switching to beer and wine. A party guest told me the next day she asked Wendi if there was a tip jar and she responded with a terse voice “Oh, the owners won’t ALLOW one.” I indicated in my request for bid that there was to be no tip jar. This question should have been handled with a simple “your hosts are taking care of that.” Wendi was also observed taking a shot with a guest, leaving the bar unattended, helping herself to the food as it was first served, sitting behind the bar on her phone, not keeping the bar area clean and stocked and not attending to empty drink glasses when guests would return them to the bar. Even my father whom loves everyone, asked me what was the deal with my bartender and that she was rude and short with him. I am hugely disappointed with 2TipsyChicks, I wanted to treat my guest to something special and luxurious by having a knowledgeable and entertaining bartender with the ability to have their favorite drinks made for them. This was not the service I had expected and I feel I was the victim (for lack of a better word) of false representation of Wendi and her business and professional abilities.

This was the second time I hired Renee to bartender our party which was attended by 80 persons. The setting was in my backyard and Renee arrived earlier than expected to set up and got acclimated with where her portable bar would be set up. She was set up and ready to go before our first guest arrived and was attentive to each of our guest needs making certain everyone had what they wanted. I had her make a signature drink which was improved upon because of her level of expertise, and that cocktail proved to be a hit with everyone in attendance. Renee is highly professional and willing to assist with whatever is needed. She was extremely committed to making sure our party was a complete success, and everyone commented on her vibrant and refreshing personality which truly added to the success of our function. I intend on hiring her again and would recommend her without reservation. My only suggestion is book her early because she is in demand. I am so grateful that she was able to service our event.
