FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll start with a conversation so I can learn more about you. For in-person clients, this will be at Q&A Fitness so you can get an idea of what the gym is like (hint: it's awesome). We'll go through some staple movement patterns so I can get an idea of how your body moves to ensure that I program exercises that match your fitness level. I start all new clients on a food photo journal so I can get an idea of what your nutrition looks like throughout the day and offer suggestions. We can discuss diving into tracking macros using MacrosFirst in order to learn more about nutrition and how to be able to take a balanced approach when it comes to your food. I'll then create a program that is tailored to your needs and preferences -- all you need to do is show up!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The person I was dating at the time signed me up for the gym on my 20th birthday because I wanted to work out with them. Turns out, I really liked getting stronger and seeing my muscles! From there, I dove deep into researching all things fitness and started working at the gym. In 2013 I got my Personal Trainer certification through NASM and have continued to learn and grow over the last decade.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I relate strongly to fellow neurodivergent people and those who are LGBTQ+. I know what it's like to feel as though you're a round peg trying to fit in a square hole -- the systems in place that work for most people often don't end up applying to us. The majority of my client base has been those who feel misunderstood and a little lost. I take immense pride in being a part of their journey!
