Michelle is truly a magician. My fiance and I are taking lessons in preparation for our first dance and not only are her dance skills & teaching skills great but she is always punctual (maybe even a little early which is a-okay!) and comes with a great attitude no matter what type of day she has had or how tired she may be. Highly recommend her!
We started working with Debra about 4 months before our wedding. We wanted to have a "Show-stopping" first dance but both of us had two left feet!! Debra choreographed a Rumba for us that ended up getting us cheers and a standing ovation at our reception!!!! She taught us all the basics from scratch and literally we felt like Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire on our wedding day. The routine Debra choreographed was like something from a movie- amazing how she puts it all together. Now that we're married some of our date nights have become nights out dancing- again with steps we are learning in private lessons and group classes. We've learned Salsa and Swing and can't wait for more. DEBRA IS AMAZING- LOOK NO FURTHER- We highly recommend her as a fantastic teacher, motivator, and now a great Friend! 5 Stars. Angie and Mark
Nadiya is an outstanding dance teacher. She teaches with ease and makes my dance lessons fun. I highly recommend her!
If we could give more stars we would. This was the most fun that we have had in a long time. Roxx Anna was professional, on time, and super fun. Her lessons, which involved coordinating the first dance at our wedding, gave us the confidence to rock the dance, and our guests LOVED it. We would hire her again in a second, and you should too!
I meet Arden at one of his salsa classes. He is vibrant, charismatic and a sensational performer, all of which carries on to his DJ service. He is in tune with what keeps a party upbeat, playing music enjoyed by different generations. He motivates the crowd and there's never a dull moment!
I have taken private dance lessons from Ryan for 3 1/2 years. He is patient and funny and very good at explaining things... Even if it takes several different ways of saying it until you get it! He is amazing at recognizing how much you can handle, and adjusting accordingly, while still making sure you walk away having had a great lesson. His humor is so very important! When you feel less than coordinated learning a new step, he keeps it light while encouraging you to go for it ! He makes you feel so comfortable with wherever you are at in your dancing, that you have no choice but to gain confidence in yourself. Supportive, encouraging, funny and a great teacher whom I would ,and have, recommend to anyone who has the chance to work with him😊
The most amazing experience in my dance career. I have learnt so many valuable lessons, not just in my dance career, but my personal development. I cannot thank Serena enough for all that she has taught me and my team.
I came in for one birthday lesson and stayed for a years worth of salsa lessons. Julie was fantastic! I went from being a total beginner to being able to go out on the dance floor and really enjoy salsa with my wife - with confidence. I highly recommend Julie and Nathan for anyone wanting to get started in dance no matter how little experience or confidence they may have. They made it really fun!
Anna is an amazing dancer AND instructor! I've purchased group and private lessons in Salsa and Bachata from her and she is so professional, personable, knowledgeable and patient. She takes the time to understand you and cater to your learning style and needs. As a follower, she strives to eliminate our need to anticipate the lead's next move, which is an absolute essential in these types of dances. I was so guilty of this sin when I first came to her, but she broke me of that habit and I've become much more relaxed and spontaneous, and thereby, that much of a better dancer! And for that, I owe it all to her! She also pushes you out of your comfort zone (very gently and steady, of course) to get you to the next level! And instead of blindly copying someone else's moves, she encourages and helps you to develop your own unique style so that you get your chance to shine on the dance floor and leave an impression on other dancers, so that they may remember you and come back for seconds! You will NOT just be another "good" dancer in the club. You will become that amazing SOMEONE in the club. She is such a caring and humble soul. She really invests in you and your evolution as a dancer. She takes the time to listen to you and help set goals for you so that you can meet it, and actually improve! On top of that, she teaches dance because she loves it, and wants to share this passion with you. She doesn't do it for the money! She accidentally overcharged me once and later texted me to give me a refund/credit...when she could've just kept quiet. You don't meet that many honest people nowadays. And when she went on maternity leave, she encouraged me to continue dancing and seek out OTHER instructors. Most others wouldn't even dare suggest looking at anyone else for fear of losing students (and thereby, income)! You can't really ask for a better instructor who has your best interest at heart. And to top it off, she's a badass dancer with a lot sass when she hits the floor! I know she encourages me to find my own style, but if I ever want to copy and emulate anyone's style, it would be her's because she just owns it without being pretentious!
I have been dancing for many years. When I came to Steppin Out, I was pleasantly surprised by everyone greeting me, and making an effort to make me feel comfortable, which has not been my experience in other dance franchise ballrooms. During my lessons, I was amazed that my instructor was giving me so much information regarding "technique". Dancing with him is exactly like having a private lesson with a professional coach. Attention to detail, and the absolute best place to learn to dance competitive ballroom dance, as well as social dancing as well. Both of the owners, are dedicated to their love of dance and teaching it to others. I not only feel like a student, but a family member as well. Very humble couple. I LOVE Steppin' Out!

I took Salsa Dance Lessons from Josie Neglia at her East LA studio I found that she was very professional and knowledgeable, she simplified the steps and I was able to dance right away. I enjoyed my progress so much I wanted to keep learning, and Josie always had new steps for me to learn and enjoy dancing at different clubs. I've been following her workshops and different events for the last 5 years and I enjoy every minute that I'm in her classes. I tried other instructors, but I found that they didn't have the knowledge and control that Josie has. The fact that she has 12 instructional videos and a BA in dancing from York University is also impressive to me.
