John is amazing! He worked with my sister and I throughout our early pregnancies and our workouts were the highlight of my week. He didn't go easy on us (so. many. walking. lunges!) but we never felt unsafe or out of our comfort zone. He was great at thinking through our workouts holistically so that we didn't ever totally burn out one muscle group or another in a single session. I felt strong and awesome working with John. Looking forward to getting back to work with him after we deliver!
By my 42nd birthday I was dealing with high blood pressure, thyroid issues, and a host of other medical issues. The father of four boys ranging in age from 24 to 2 years old. I had a difficult time climbing stairs or even keeping up with my 2 year old son. Thirty years of my life spent in wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, and martial arts and I would get winded cutting my grass. When my 2 year old was born I decided I wanted to make a change. I gave up red meat, cigarettes, and alcohol. I kept telling myself I was going to start working out and never really did. At this point I had hit my heaviest weight ever at 294 and was grossly out of shape. I had known Coach Hashim for years and knew him to be a talented educator, a positive example for others, and great motivator. I also knew Coach Hashim to just be a good human being that took his personal health seriously. I never knew him to be judgmental or a person to push his personal beliefs on others. So when I saw him post a beach-body challenge online I thought that if anyone could help guide me back to where I wanted to be in life he could. The average person I talk to about the changes I have made thinks that a plant-based lifestyle is eating tofu cubes and salad everyday and that just isn't true. After going through this challenge and changing my diet my thyroid issues are gone. After blood work and another ultra-sound my doctor cannot find anything. I have gone from taking 3 blood pressure pills a day to taking one. In three months my weight is now 255 and I am working out 3-4 days a week. I went from wearing a 3XL to XL and from a 42 pant to a 38. I don’t want to go back to my old diet. I went from barbecuing every week and frying turkey on thanksgiving to having no interest in going back to eating meat. I like the way I feel now and I like what I eat. The process isn’t easy but in my life nothing that is worth having ever has been.

I have three kids (now 11, 14 and 17). Two of my kids and I worked informally with Donna. One child (then 10 year old girl) worked formally with Donna for at least 6 months. Our whole family got motivated and active because of Donna. With her gentle encouragement and knowledgeable coaching, my three kids and I have each completed several 5ks and 10ks. My son and I successfully completed a half marathon following the personalized training plan she created for us. I even completed a sprint distance triathlon. This might not sound amazing, but my kids had never run before meeting Donna, and since I was overweight, I never thought any of those goals would be possible! I've been working with Liz for nearly a year now. And she has helped me through a couple different phases in my life. When we first met, she coached me with a custom program to my lowest body fat % (which was the goal). I never felt so healthy - and was ready for a tri I planned to compete in. Then the gears shifted when I became pregnant. Liz coached me through the entire pregnancy - and I can honestly say it's because of her that I've had a relatively easy time of it. Staying fit while pregnant is very important, but you need to be careful. Liz knew just what to do. She has both the medical & fitness knowledge to keep me & baby safe and in shape. That knowledge applies to everything - whether you are recovering from an injury, have imbalances in your body, or have aches/pains and don't know why. I plan to continue working with Liz as I enter mommy-hood, and would highly recommend her to anyone. Here custom programs are top notch and her workouts are always fun/interesting. Even after a year, I look forward to seeing her every week.
Lucie is excellent. I worked with her for over a year, and she kept introducing new exercises. She pushes me in a very gentle way, but never overdoes anything. She is quite professional, and frequently demonstrates exercises. She is a warm and sensitive person and I recommend her with confidence.
BC has been my trainer for several years now. Together we have greatly improved my strength, mobility and balance. I am now able to get around much better. I have a back condition which made walking painful. The condition will always be there, but I can now walk quite far before pain sets in. Elizabeth Moulton is not only the consummate professional, she's also a great person to work with due to her incredible energy, great personality, positive attitude, and highly skilled abilities in so many different areas. Her expertise reached far beyond what I had ever expected, and she can "deliver" in so may different areas. I worked with Elizabeth for about a year, in Berkeley, CA. She was the manager of the apartment building my daughter was living in, and we had to work with Elizabeth for a number of reasons, for a number of different issues and problems we were having with my daughter's unit. Not only did she take care of everything in a timely manner, but she also personally oversaw all of the work that needed to be done, and handled all of the issues herself. She never flinched when things got sticky, and it never ceased to amaze me how kind, caring, and attentive she was. She's extremely intelligent and well-spoken, a real winner. I even wrote a letter to her boss, singing her praises, because she was truly worthy of the accolades. Anyone who has the good fortune to work with Elizabeth should consider themselves lucky! She's GOLD.

Gleaming, glowing, charismatic, and talented are just a few of many words that come to my mind when I think of Jazz. I've had the pleasure of studying Samba and Afro-Brazilian Dance with her and she is by far one of the greatest teachers in the Bay Area and the US. Her passion and skill truly shine through her teaching style. She breaks down the movements in detail, provides constructive feedback, teaches beautiful choreography,and explains the history and meaning of the dance. She pieces all the elements of Brazilian dance together in such a way that allows me to feel I am growing and improving as a dancer and performer. She is authentic, motivating, and high spirited! I would recommend her to anyone who wants a challenge and who wants to become a better dancer!
