Being an avid athlete, without the ability to participate in hockey, with gyms closed and other venues for team sports it was hard to maintain consistency in my training; coupled with changes in my career it was a good switch to reach out to Innova to see how they could help! From the initial consultation (over two hours!) there was an instant click with Paul and the company; it was clear what kind of training methodologies they like to use, and their approach to training and fitness is well defined, and communicated. Every step of the process to signing up was well handled, professional, and honest with my goals as a client. The first two months with Paul were a great way to evaluate my personal fitness levels, my areas for improvement, and dieting choices; along with my personal goal setting and how it could align with Innova's skillset. Along the way I met Mike, another one of the trainers and have had the opportunity to have alternative workouts with him. Overall the team is fantastic. They focus on your fitness, strength and conditioning improvements, progressively modifying workouts as your personal body adapts to their training plan, and incrementally increase the demands week over week so everything feels freshly challenging and not redundant. Kudos to the team for their flexibility during the multiple shelter-in-places, and navigating the social distancing requirements and still allowing people to get their physical activity in! They are very considerate to your personal needs, and always have clean and well displaced equipment and tools for your workouts. Fast-forward over seven months and I've seen considerable gains in lean muscle mass, and better choices in my sleeping and eating habits. Along with this, I have seen considerable increase in my endurance, flexibility, sleep schedule, and overall energy levels. The team is always open and honest with me about my health, eating, and wellness habits and do not shy from telling me what's wrong, right, and where I can improve constantly. While it is a constant work in progress, Paul and the team at Innova have helped me navigate COVID-19's craziness, career stress, while finishing graduate school; and all while shaping my training plan to accommodate within 3-4 times a week consistent training. Paul and those at Innova have become a second family to me, and they take every honest interest in your life outside of your fitness client goals. They are bar-none the best in the business.
