I first started my fitness journey after learning my body fat percentage had hit a personal high of 27%. It was then I decided to make health a priority in my life and start taking exercise and nutrition seriously. I signed up for Thumbtack and put out a request for a trainer near my home. John was one of the first to respond. We spoke on the phone about my goals and then scheduled a free consultation where we practiced a few basic movements and took my measurements. After our consultation, I committed to 20 personal training sessions. In each session, John tailors exercises with my goals in mind, and pushes me beyond what I think I'm capable of. He is always mixing up exercises to keep things interesting and my body guessing. John has me training with everything from kettle bells and cables, to rowing machines and TRX. In addition to the challenging workouts, John is consistent and reliable. He sends calendar invites for our scheduled training sessions and lets me know in advance if he needs to reschedule. It's now been nearly 18 months since we first started training. I've lost inches of body fat and gained confidence and energy. I look forward to our training sessions and even have my boyfriend hooked on couple workouts with John. :) I cannot recommend him enough for those ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle.
Ive been working with John for little over a month and Ive seen results. Ive lost almost 10lbs. He is very responsive and answers all my questions. Im picky eater which makes it hard to come up with meal plan but he did and tailored to my food likes this way I dont feel like giving up. I recommend him if your looking for help with nutrition. He is responsive thru texts which is always helpful with my busy schedule. He also checks your food log which i like it keeps me honest and on top of it.

James is an excellent trainer. We worked progressively 2x/week over the last 4 months to increase strength training at my pace and pushed me gently to increase capacity. In addition we added cardio including boxing which has been great and fun! He has inspired me so much that I've built a mini-gym including olympic bars, hand weights, kettle bell, boxing gloves. Even when I had some shoulder discomfort he went out of his way to get me IcyHot to help and advised me how to heal the tendinitis. He also has great tips on nutrition especially protein intake that's important when you're doing toning/strength training. Overall I've never been happier with the balance of toning and cardio in my exercise routine.

I am so glad I took the opportunity to meet with Julianne about my nutrition goals. I have been all over the place with my eating & really wanted to pin down something that would work for me, my goals, and my lifestyle and schedule. One of the main things I wanted to address was my eczema, Julianne was able to tell me what changes I should make and why, and also made a lot of easy swaps and recommendations. I loved trying the different foods she recommended and in just a couple weeks have been able to see a difference. I was skeptical at first, but I really see the results of following the helpful advice she gave me. I really like that Julianne lives the lifestyle, because she is so locked into different blogs, movies, and information that she shares and which helps make transitioning into a different style of eating easier. I really liked being able to speak to Julianne about my goals, she created a really useful set of meals for me to cook, which really helped me get my feet off the ground. In a short time I've already been able to incorporate some of those meals into my life, and have been happily surprised by how delicious everything is. Being a nurse I really liked being able to learn why certain things were better for my body. I learned a lot through working with Julianne and highly recommend her. I feel like I have a better handle on my nutrition goals, and a really good path to get there. I really enjoyed training with Alina because she coached me through an effective work out and also rehabilitation excercises, fully understanding my past chronic pain issues and helping me prevent further injuries. I feel not only stronger, but more confident in my ability to progress to heavier weights and higher intensity workouts. Alina also motivated me to adopt intermittent fasting (IF), which has had a significant impact on my weight management and energy levels. Alina gave me helpful tips on how to start and sustain IF, which I've been doing now for almost 8 months. Overall, Alina has a very strong grasp of mobility, strength, endurance, nutrition and other foundational pieces that trainers need to provide a comprehensive service.

Samantha Hampton is a joy to work with. I feel lucky to know her. She knows so much about healthy nutrition and if you present her with a question she can't answer immediately, she will do the research and share her findings. She wants her clients to succeed and feel better. She has helped me identify trouble spots - such as eating on the run and allowing stress to interfere with my health. After each session, she sends me a follow-up email which includes her recommendations from the session. I have gone back to these many times for guidance. We worked on establishing my goals together, including integrating exercise into my schedule and eating regular meals (instead of skipping) and she was right by my side when I attempted a Whole 30 Paleo Program. Unfortunately, a family issue interfered with my program; nevertheless, I have been utilizing many of tools I learned from Samantha and look forward to working with her again. I highly recommend her.
