I have a cactus garden that was very overgrown. Dangerous work! I also wanted some of the cacti transplanted to my backyard. Mr. Torres came on a Sunday, started work and did not stop until the job was done. He is more a landscape designer, then just a gardener. His crew ,by his side he sculped my cactus and transplanted and shaped them into a beautiful garden. It looks beautiful. He wants to please his customers and he reaches that goal. I would highly recommend him.He is now my official cactus expert.!

I had a lady come by for the initial estimate. Her name was Jaeleah. She was an estimate manager. She was very nice and asked a lot of questions and took down a lot of notes and even left me with a business card. From there within the hour I received an email regarding the estimate and availability. I then, had a scheduling manager contact me to confirm details and day along with time. On the day of the actual clean up, I had a lead landscaper by the name of Catarino ( Cat for short) come with a young man named Kevin, Cat did not speak perfect English but he could communicate and tried very hard, Kevin spoke perfect English and helped me to confirm what I thought Cat was saying. The guys started the job which consisted of removing grass and weeds on a 3500 sq foot lot. I figured it would take the guys 2 days to do that kind of job. When I got home after work around 6pm the guys were actually finishing up. I mean, I was shocked. I walked the lot with them and we went over ideas and I mean I was so amazed by how hard and fast they got this job done. As soon as my husband gets back in town we are going to confirm what our next plant of action will be. Cat recommended I install new more drought resistant sod along with some gorgeous flowers he showed me that compliment the color of my home really well. He even showed me pictures of other sod and landscape designs he has done in the past and the work was exquisite. For the quality of work these guys provide and the professionalism these guys could easily be charging double if not triple the prices they charge. I am thankful I found you guys. Thanks for all the hard work you all did for us! We are excited for whats to come.

Thank you, John, for your fast response to my urgent request. You arrived when you said you would, and your team got the entire job done and completely cleaned up before noon. My 6' hedges needed cut back to the property line before a City Inspector's visit and the job had been left half done by my gardener. You know landscape design and cut the trunks and branches with skill so the new growth will come back looking its best. You have made me a very happy customer.

Greg's team were all amazing, friendly and experienced professionals! They were on time, successfully completed a very big job in just one day and demonstrated extraordinary excellence in completely cleaning up a large front and back yard that had been neglected for many years. Highlights included removing several big cedar trees, extracting countless jade plants and cleaning up yard waste from cutting back ice plant and trimming bird of paradise and bougainvillea. GM Landscaping is THE BEST and I give them my highest recommendation! I look forward to working with them again!

Eric and his associate did a wonderful job transforming 3 of our wild and untamed planters into 1 patio extension an 2 beautiful flower beds. He also found and planted to small palms to match one we already had. Everything was done in a timely manner in time for a backyard party we had. Thanks Eric! (I'll add proper before/after photos when I get the chance and think about it)

I hired Coastline to plant trees, install irrigation, and do all of the planting for my backyard renovation project. The pricing was very competitive, and the quality of work was off the charts. Omar and his team were absolutely amazing to work with!! The team from Coastline easily handled everything I could throw at them. From design changes to working around other trades, and a homeowner providing most of the materials - you name it and they crushed it. The care and attention to detail of the planting was amazing. The irrigation has all my plantings well covered and the install was super clean and with high quality product. In addition to the general planting we built a fairy garden for my daughter. Omar and his team set the walkway, birdbath and fountain. They also made the dry river/rock path and handled all of the plantings. It's the most adorable natural play space ever. All of the crews that were on site over the course of the project were great to work with. Everyone of them was respectful, clean, and courteous. They were great with my kids, my dog, and everyday my property was left looking neat and clean - even for a construction site. The only regret I had on my project was not meeting Omar and Coastline before I had hired out the work for other parts of my renovation. I seriously can't say enough great things about them. If you are a home or business owner with a landscape plan to execute on - Omar and Coastline are your guys.

We are thrilled to have found Francisco! Reluctantly and with much trepidation, my extremely picky husband agreed to hire a garden service. - "No one will manicure my lawn the way I like it!" After a couple of negative experiences, we heard about Francisco Ramos. Francisco with his work quality, professionalism, garden knowledge and expertise, and work ethic are all the things my husband and I were looking for in a garden service. We have the greatest of confidence in all the work he does for us always going above and beyond from tree and shrub trimming, slope clearance, rose pruning, and most importantly, manicuring our lawn! We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Francisco Ramos Garden Service!

Jake quickly responded to my request to hang a concrete wall fountain on an outside wall in front of my kitchen sink. He laid electrical in plastic piping inside a trench and helped to connect the fountain electrically. He purchased a BT timer at Home Depot. It’s simply gorgeous. I liked that he texted me when he left his office, when he expected to arrive, when he took off for a bite of lunch. Very considerate and professional (guess that’s what you get from a Minnesota native). He helped me with two other projects, one centered around his passion for building sustainable gardens for people. He will bring the custom trellises that he built tomorrow. They are designed to have cantaloupes grow up and hang.

We asked Form & Focus to design and re-landscape our front, side and back yards to give us a Southwest Zen feel. Their designer, Katie, worked closely with us to give us just what we wanted working within our budget. Her design included a Japanese style Zen garden (at our request) and new flagstone patio while using colorful stone to significantly reduce the area of our yard that needed watering. We did keep some areas of lawn, but used a new type of drought resistant grass called UC Verde buffalo grass (developed specifically for California by the University of California) that can be maintained at a meadow length, and which fits in perfectly with our natural Zen approach. The project took about 2 weeks to install and was carefully supervised by Jacob and Aaron on a daily basis. They worked with us to make adjustments to the various areas of the design as we moved along, so that everything was sized and shaped to our specs. Their people arrived promptly every day and worked through 100+ degree heat to keep us on schedule, cleaning up each night before they left. Here's what they did for us: demolition of existing landscape, installation of artificial turf, installation of flagstone/decomposed granite walkway/patio, installation of Zen garden including a 1,200 pound boulder, conversion to drip sprinkler system, installation of borders and decorative rock, installation of drought resistant grass and plants throughout. They were a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to use Form & Focus for future work.

I’ve use Picket Fences 3 times to remodel our garden and aging pool. Due to water restrictions, we transformed to a drought tolerant landscape. Pool needed to re-tile some edge areas. They are knowledgeable and know how to tackle the with problems without hurting my budget. The landscape is great and now we enjoy more time outdoors with a great view.

I don't know much about gardening so I really needed a professional who I can trust and who knows exactly what needs to be done. We recently had to do an overhaul in our yard, and Johnny gave me such a good price, so I knew I could use him for my bi-weekly maintenance as well. Johnny and his team are extremely reliable - they're always on time and on schedule, and he is easy to get a hold and to communicate with. Overall - just a great vendor to work with!

(Thanks Claudia for reading my mind.) Now, she updates it with color each season. It's great for me! I'm enjoying the fruits of her labor...Claudia comes *highly recommended*

I met Brian 2+ years ago at the SD Home Garden Show. Out of all the vendors I talked with, he stood out. He was easy to talk with...down to earth, sincere, and friendly, not at all like the others who were high pressure and quite expensive. I was an inexperienced gardener when I met Brian. I told him I wanted to be able to sit by my window and look out at a beautiful garden filled with birds and butterflies. Also, I did NOT want a lot of yard work to do! He accomplished that job magnificently and throughout the past two years I have called him back to work on other projects in my yard. For example, I have a very steep hill behind my house in University City. Brian suggested a "goat trail" on the steep hill so I would have easy access to the plants. Now I can easily walk the path and enjoy the shrubs and trees planted on the hill. My favorite project that Brian designed and created was the conversion of an in-ground spa to a tranquil quiet meditation space. When he finished the demolition of the spa Brian added a Buddha statue and soft down facing lighting to enhance the area. At night I can view the space from my bedroom. It is very comforting and relaxing before falling asleep. I wake up to birds singing every day. All the plants in my yard are drought tolerant, lush, and green and I water a maximum of 9 minutes total per week. I am so grateful that Brian had the foresight to think about the water issue when he planned my garden in 2013. His work crew is small but very hard working. They are friendly and polite. I got to know them very well when they worked at my house. The entire team is very knowledgeable about drought tolerant plants, irrigation systems, soil, lighting, etc. At the time they were working for me, they only worked at one address at a time so my projects were completed in a reasonable amount of time. At the end of each job, Brian spent time to help me to understand the particular details of each project. This has helped me a great deal now that I am actively caring for the entire area. Brian has an artistic sense that I find lacking in most landscapers. This creative talent makes his garden designs quite special. He has a way of blending a variety of sizes and species of plants and boulders, on undulating patches of soil, to create a beautiful pleasing environment. I am extremely pleased that I chose Garden Spirit to transform my backyard into a desirable happy place.

David Anderson created a beautiful design for our backyard slope. He used drought tolerant plants and came up with a unique fountain feature as our focal point. He was very receptive to our ideas and gave great expert suggestions. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to all our friends. Lora Z

I call Chris the "Picasso of Plants". His innovative landscape designs have already won my home 2 awards. He's designed 3 homes on our street and all are completely different. He also offers gardener maintenance. His prices are very competitive. Truth be told, you get so much more than you pay for! HIGHLY recommend.

My husband and I asked Stephen to spruce up our patio and garden area. After hearing Stephen's ideas for building a water feature and planting incredible succulents in a garden display, we agreed to move forward with his vision and we could not be happier with the result! We consider Stephen a brilliant landscape architect with unmatched creativity and knowledge. Our garden setting is now our ‘Happy Place’ and we have Stephen to thank! ~ Dorothy and David Livingston
