I hired harp for hanging art and moving love seat from sf to napa, my movers cancelled on me at last min on Sunday 23rd july. I found harp from Craigslist and he showed up in 30 min. When He brought love seat to napa I found I had a wrong key, he was at napa at 10 pm, it was my blunder but he really cool guy and offered his servicd to go back to sf and bringing a right key, we went back to sf and briougt right key. He also finished hanging art at my new apartment at midnight, he did not charge me either for extra driving to sf. ! What a cool guy. I am writing this review not only he is professional and know what he is doing but also he is a kind man
Excellent service, very pleased with the total move. Movers were dedicated, patient and very professional. I will highly recommend your moving services to my friends and relatives. Keep up the good work.
These movers are great! I would hire them again in a second. Very responsive, careful with our stuff, and friendly. They made sure everything got to the right room in good shape. They also support women and children, which is a nice bonus.
Not only is Matt the NICEST guy, but his team will make sure your experience is quick. He's just started his business as well, and handles all communication quickly and professionally. He was on time, extremely communicative and responsive, and was really nice and funny. I felt comfortable trusting them with moving things in a tight space, and they were done in literally no time. I'll definitely be recommending their service to friends and if you are looking for the best movers with the best price (c'mon, how often does that happen?), these guys are it! 10/10!
Main Movers were absolutely awesome! The 3-man team had very positive attitudes towards a pretty huge job that expanded as they not only loaded our main house and 2 cottages/offices, but also at last minutes notice they brought all boxes down from our attic. This was a HUGE job! They never complained and were super quick and courteous. When I made several requests, they replied reassuringly by telling me to "have no worries." They were super well-skilled at disassembling large furniture (a bunk bed in particular for us) and keeping all necessary parts organized and attached so we could reassemble the furniture upon arrival at our new home. I can't give them enough praise. Julian had said they would stay as long as it took to get the job done and they sure did. I highly recommend Main Movers!!! Thanks so much guys!!!
Even though the movers were less than 10 minutes late, they called to inform us. Great service and very efficient movers!!! Highly recommended!!!
I hired Action Movers to help me move my mom's things from her apartment into an assisted living facility. Every adult child who has gone through this experiences knows the emotional challenge of making such a move. It is a vulnerable experience for the entire family. When I was researching movers, I was afraid I was going to have to deal with gruff, impersonal moving guys who maybe weren't so nice. What surprised me about the process of working with Christina was how compassionate, empathetic and kind she was. She sees moving as a wholistic experience and was really there to listen and to lend help in any way she could, just to simplify and help make things easier for us. When I brought my mom to her new apartment, her face lit up seeing how beautiful her bedroom set looked in the new space. Action Movers helped our family make a delicate and important transition a very smooth and positive experience. They were literally there to take the heavy burden off our shoulders. Thank you!
Moving can be a stressful and hiring movers can be even more so. I've had a couple bad experiences before, so I was a little unsure what to expect on thumbtack. Ken wasn't the first to reply to my request, but of the half dozen responses I received, he was the only one who wanted to see what we had to move in person. I had been considering another mover, although that fell through when that mover became unavailable for a two week period without any prior notice. Ken's quote was also more than reasonable, and I felt comfortable with him, so we scheduled the move. Our time was not specific (sometime mid morning). I don't know if that's typical for him, but it didn't bother me once we knew when he was on his way. Ken doesn't text, so you'll actually have to pick up the phone to reach him. I think that's probably better than email as well. I like texting, but I think Ken's old-school about that. Ken showed up as promised with a second mover, Theo. His quoted rate was for two people, not per person as with the other quotes I received. I later found out Ken (and Theo) are involved in scouting, which explains the ethics I saw Ken display before, during, and after the move. I was extremely pleased with the work Ken and Theo did. They were professional and amenable to all the extra requests I made of them. We ended up using them to help move some additional items, so the move took pretty much all day. And at the end, Ken didn't try to pad the hours or demand extra money (or any kind of tip--which I gave them anyway because they deserved it.) Ken charges mileage for his truck (fuel costs at 9 mpg) and return travel time from the origin of the move, which is pretty standard fare. Only one quote I received didn't do this, but their hourly rate was almost triple. You do the math. He also did not require me to commit to a minimum number of hours (although this move ended up taking more than 9 hours.) They weren't the fastest movers, but they weren't the slowest, and they were careful with our belongings, which I really appreciated. What's the good of hiring movers only to have your things damaged in the move? We also had difficult stairs at both the from and to locations. Ken doesn't charge extra for stairs, etc. It takes longer to be careful negotiating the tight corners, but that's to be expected. They put blankets down on all the railings. I think they might have run out of blankets, but I'm not sure. One suggestion: Be sure you've got everything packed and larger pieces accessible. They're used to moving furniture (I think Ken specializes in moving antique and high-end furniture) not packing boxes. Part of what slowed us down was that we were not completely ready for them, and we kept adding new items as they became ready to move. Still, Ken and Theo just smiled and asked what else we had. I would highly recommend Wood Frog Transport to anyone looking for a good mover. Ken made our experience a positive one, which may be the very first time that has happened for me in dozens of moves over the years.
It went smooth from start to finish and they did a fine job at a good price I'd use them again!
Of course it's easy to find cheap movers, but All in Moving Systems went beyond cheap moving for me. I can't tell you how many times I've had terrible movers. These guys were hands down the best and I couldn't ask for a better mover, period. After getting ripped off by big companies too many times I decided to go with a small company. This company is proof that small businesses are the best type of businesses that you can buy from. They moved everything from my old place to my new place and didn't scratch the walls, didn't scratch the hardwood floors, didn't dirty the carpets, and didn't leave a mess.
