Kimberly Allison is the best guitar teacher I have had. I have thought what it would have been like to have taken guitar lessons from Randy Rhoads or Joe Satriani. Kimberly is my Rhoads and Satriani. I'm getting world class lessons under her tutlage. I wish I would have taken my first guitar lesson with her.

Stefano is a great teacher! I started taking drum lessons as an adult who'd always wanted to learn drums but had no experience. Stefano makes sure to work at your pace, finding the balance between pushing you to grow while ensuring you grasp everything and are actively improving and understanding. He also dives right into your favorite music making practicing fun and satisfying from the very start.

I started taking drum lessons later in life as I've always wanted to learn. After a great birthday present from a friend I started lessons with Mike. He is great at listening to what I wanted to learn and was very, very patient with me. I've always had trouble reading music but he taught me in no time and made the lessons very fun and interesting. He let me pick the songs I wanted to learn and he would even play along to help me get it right! Mike is a very talented drummer, musician and teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning the drums, he'll have you playing in no time!!

My son started formal drum lessons with Steve two and a half years ago. Steve set the bar on professionalism, flexibility, communication, and has the patience to teach music to younger kids. My son went from a kid banging on a toy drum, to a musician that could play drum set rhythms in an elementary school jazz band. We've had other instructors since Steve left the Los Alamitos area but none of them compared to his high level of attributes listed earlier.

Jeffery is the best. I always had so much fun during my lessons with him and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn the drums. He’ll tailor the lesson and his teaching method for whatever works best for the student. He’s knowledgeable, patient, and one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. 5 stars all the way.

I'm an experienced middle school teacher, all ages and levels. Our lessons are fun and dynamic playing our favorite songs!

I attained a bachelor in music at Berklee College of Music, and I have taught all ages for 5+ years. I am currently new to the Los Angeles area.

I teach drum and percussion lessons in West Los Angeles. I have over a decade of teaching experience and have played in everything, from rock bands to the Los Angeles Philharmonic. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in percussion performance and would love to share my education with others.

My teaching career began in high school when I would teach other high school and middle school students drum lessons. Upon graduating, I continued my music studies at two different institutions. I have a B.A. in jazz studies from Florida State University and an M.F.A. in jazz studies from the California Institute of the Arts. Total, I have over seven years of experience as a private instructor. I am able to teach drum set, classical and rudimental snare drum and Latin percussion lessons. I have had experience in teaching students with ages ranging from 5-56. In addition to teaching percussion, I can teach music theory, jazz keyboard theory, composition and beginning piano and guitar students. Some of my former students have gone on to study music performance at colleges, such as Florida State University, The University of Miami, Louisiana State University and The University of Alabama.

I act on a one to one basis. Treating each person as an individual with specific needs and abilities. So wether its drum kit lessons where i work on your favorite styles of music. To the deeper drum workshops geared to help people at different stages in life. Then deeper still with the gong and tuning fork work. Which is specific for each person as we all vibrate in a different way.

Steve Vai, a Billy Idol drummer, is giving drum lessons in the greater Los Angeles area. I have a studio in North Hollywood and can also travel. I have many years of being a touring working drummer. I have developed an emphasis on what is important to be able to make it in the music business.

Olesya’s Story Music Teacher LA came to an existence out of one incredibly skilled teacher’s and musician’s passion for music and teaching, her creative ability to motivate and excite students, and her desire to spread the love of music and learning to musically inclined children and adults. Olesya MacNeil is the founder of the Music Teacher LA. As a child she studied piano and voice and took her first piano lessons from her mother at age 5. Olesya attended a music school in the former Soviet Union for 7 years and then pursued her Master’s in Music, Psychology and Pedagogy at the Omsk State University in Russia. During her years at the university, Olesya performed on stage, on the radio, and worked with musically gifted children from the local schools. During her years of study, Olesya completed extensive research on children’s intelligence relative to the study of music. After immigrating to the US in 1997, Olesya continued teaching music. She taught the children of Larry King, Billy Baldwin, Dan Beckerman (the alternate governor of LA Kings),Susannah Grant (who won the Oscar for Erin Brockovich’s movie script), Bennett Schneir (the producer of many known animation films),and many other established film producers, screenwriters, political leaders, sportsmen, owners of sport teams and financial CEOs. Olesya also worked with special needs kids. Working with children was the most incredible gift for Olesya. She was very popular and sought after teacher. The families she worked with were referring each other to Olesya and they were meeting and building new friendships at Olesya’s recital parties. Olesya worked 7 days a week, providing at one point a total of 53 in-home private lessons each week. Olesya has been traveling to her students and working 12 to 16 hours each day, including weekends. Olesya wished to teach fewer students, but she created such close ties with all the families, the families knew each other, they all liked Olesya, and thus Olesya simply could not quit any student without offending the family. Olesya has been teaching each student for 6-7 years on average. During such long period of time, her students’ goals and achievements became part of Olesya’s life. Olesya’s experiences working with different people were a book to write. Olesya once taught a beautiful 7 year old girl with amazingly big and sad blue eyes. The girl was the oldest child of 5 children in the religious family. She loved her piano lessons. She rarely practiced. When Olesya asked her why she didn’t practice she honestly said that she really wanted, but her mom asked her to hold her newborn sister… This 7 year old really enjoyed playing the piano, but sometimes she would question why she should learn the piano or anything else, “Because I will be married the moment I’ll finish the school. My family will find someone for me. I will never go to work and will have many children.” Olesya was using all her creative ideas to ignite this little girl’s desire to learn and feel unique and important. This little girl can grow and help her own children love and understand music in the future. Olesya developed individual homework method for each of her students to encourage them to practice. Olesya was satisfied seeing her students succeed and happy to learn more and more. Olesya’s recital parties were very inspiring and fun. She would “rent” a mansion or a large house of one of her students. She would break all her students into 15 performers per recital. One of her students baked cupcakes, where each cupcake was a music measure from a famous opera. Olesya trained her students how to successfully perform and overcome their shyness in recitals. Her methods worked. There were happy moments in students’ lives when they performed in recitals and students’ parents saw their achievements. Olesya has been saving her students’ drawings, essays, sayings, photos… She has saved it as very precious items from her life. After several years in the private piano teaching in the US, rather overwhelmed by demand for someone of her talent and teaching skills, Olesya assembled music teachers with her caliber of credentials and expertise under one roof and named it “Music Teacher LA”. It is not easy to become a Music Teacher LA teacher. Of all the musicians Olesya interviews who wish to join the team, only 2% meet her rigorous standards of: ?Advanced music education ?Professional musical accomplishments ?Education and experience in teaching ?The special and unique type personality and creativity that motivates students ?THE BURNING DESIRE TO TEACH vs. MAKE MONEY TEACHING MUSIC Music Teacher LA today offers music lessons on all instruments and voice, expert piano tuning, and music summer camps.

I can teach you how to be a rock and roll star. Whether you want to learn classical, jazz, pop, country, or blues on the piano, I'm the instructor for you. I can also teach you how to play rock drums behind a band, and show you how to deliver exactly what they want. If you are a vocalist, and you are looking to accompany yourself behind the keys, I specialize in that type of performance. I've been playing piano professionally for 10 years, and have a wealth of knowledge I would be happy to share. Before that, I was a touring drummer for 2 years. I'm pretty easygoing, and understand it can be a bit intimidating seeking help. I like to think that we are all students though, and some of us have just been working at it longer than others. If you are interested in reading music or learning by ear, I can show you how to do both. If there is an artist you admire, and you want to play like them, I'll sit with you and hammer out the details. Also, if you are a songwriter, and need help with a melody or chords to back up your melody, I can do that as well. I am quite patient. If you are a beginner, and just feel the urge to get started with an instrument, I'll do the walk with you and hold your hand through the process. Music has brought me a lot of enjoyment through my life and sharing this gift with others is how I repay those who gave this gift to me.

I am extremely passionate about music and love to help my students make the necessary connections to understand the material

I teach drum lessons. Study with top pro/recording artist. I teach all styles and all ages in studio or at your home. My service is low priced.
