Emily was a great referral from Reverb. My husband loved his singing lessons present! Thank you all so much for opening his eyes to something he had always wanted to focus on.
Working with Shery and Harley has been a wonderful experience. My 8 year old son is progressing quickly in piano lessons and having fun while doing it. Highly recommended!!
I started taking vocal lessons with Elaine Hanley last fall. She is amazing! I'd recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their singing as well as their confidence with singing infront of others. She is so encouraging and gives great advice! She has a lot of experience and truly cares for each and everyone of her students. It is such a blessing to be able to learn from her!
Jerry Pajel (Mr. J) is a passionate violin teacher. I have been taking violin lessons for one year now, and I must say that I learned so much in my first month of lessons. While teaching, he communicates effectively and makes learning the violin easy!
Barbara is one of the most professional people I know when it comes to music. She has helped me with my singing and basic music knowledge. I have a much better knowledge of rhythms that I did not have before singing in her choirs and playing handbells. She has such a positive attitude towards people who are not musically inclined and helps them to have confidence in their musical abilities. She makes singing in her choirs fun. She is a fun person to know and always makes practice enjoyable. She has taken a simple church choir, with many people who cannot read music and some who don't sing well, and made us all sound almost professional. She is dedicated to her profession, and has great integrity. She has definitely been a positive influence in my life.
"I want to play guitar." Chad helps you see just what that means to you. What level do you aspire to? Do you want to emphasize chords or finger picking or vice versa? What do you hope to do with the guitar? He is the guitar player we are all familiar with: laid back, easy going, so relaxing, soothing - making it look so easy. But he also lets you in on some of his challenges as a teacher and performer - which takes away some of the student's anxiety about being able to learn the guitar. And with his personal attention he conveys that conviction that you. too, can and will play the guitar. But you do have to bring in a level of dedication and commitment to deep, serious, daily practice. I'm semi-retired and so I've able to practice 3 hours a day. I'm just now hearing an improvement in my playing and the fingers are moving with more certainty and confidence. I'm on my way to achieving a level of playing that's of my own making & determination - that is very exciting.
I teach elementary music. With Brandon's help, I was able to record the alto part for our holiday musical into the purchased practice-trax, and double myself singing on piano. Then, we adjusted the volume so it stood above the other parts, but did not overpower. This made a world of difference to my 3rd and 4th grade harmonizers, both students and parents loved it! I absolutely could not have done this without Brandon. He is professional, easy to work with, and a fine musician in addition to his technical skills in the studio. His rates are reasonable and I highly recommend him for any studio project, or lessons!
Knows what he is talking about, and willing to work with your voice. I was having difficulty learning the more traditional way, and instead of just pressing on or giving up, he just had me sing. Oddly enough, singing, I was able to produce (more of) the correct keys for him (but not when he just wanted the keys alone). So he had a brilliant idea; just buy music sheets and learn to sing, by singing songs (instead of learning individual keys first before diving into a full song). Learn to sing the correct keys, as I'm singing them in a song. Overall, nice guy, patient and creative. Would recommend.
Diana is an excellent teacher and fun to learn with.

This is the simplest way that I can compare teaching piano/music/voice: It's like teaching a student a 2nd language. As a beginner, looking at music and trying to read it is, essentially, a foreign language. My job is to figure out the level of comprehension my new students are at and grow the understanding of music from there. I start with the basic principle of music and I curtail lessons to fit each student. As we know, each student learns differently. As I come to know each student, I learn how to help interpret the language of music to each individual.
We offer music lessons to students from 2 years old to adults. We specialize in teaching beginners how to read music, play with beautiful tone and perform recitals and other concerts. Games, supplemental pages and other manipulative work are used in introducing new materials and reviewing concepts.

My music lessons will help utilize your inner musician. But behind every good musician is good technique, without it longevity is difficult. Incorrect singing will cause vocal nodules, incorrect piano playing will give you wrist pains, and bad songwriting might cause others ear pains. Holding a music degree from San Jose State University and a decade of professional experience performing, I will use my experiences and knowledge to help awaken you're inner performer.
