Sandy is such a lovely person to have as a trainer! She thinks of different hour long work outs for you for every time you train! We did a mixture of cardio and weight training, with special attention to the places on my body I wanted to tone. She's super personable, friendly, approachable, and generous with her time. I also lost a few inches the first month I trained. She was also willing to meet me at a local park or my own residence, which was helpful with certain weather conditions. I would recommend her to anyone who wants personal training--if you're looking for someone who yells at you and is more of a "sergeant" about it, though, this isn't for you.Jan 3, 2014Verified
Sandy has changed my belief about personal trainers. I had been with a trainer for a little over two years. She was a drill sergeant. I dreaded every session, and thought that training HAD to be that way. Then fate brought Sandy into my life....and poof, my whole perception of training changed! Like she says, she LISTENS to your needs. If you're not feeling well, or feel like you're being challenged accesively, she will cut back. I HATE working out with a passion, but I come down with a smile on my face when sandy comes over, because I know I'll have a workout that won't leave me dead, like with my previous trainer. And guess what? I'm actually seeing results! I lost a few pounds with my previous trainer, but mainly was maintaining my weight. With Sandy, I have lost, and keep loosing, because of her style, and her education, and her beautiful personality. My high school best friends and I meet yearly at the San Antonio winery. I am loving my personal trainer. She is kind, encouraging, and best of all, comes to my house. I say best of all b/c I would not be able to stick with it if I had to go to a gym. Sandy makes the workouts fly by and fun. I have never had that feeling of a workout “high,” in fact, quite the opposite, I think I have workout anger. I have never felt the anger when I have worked out with Sandy. She is helping me reach my goals without my dreading her visits.Sep 3, 2019
Sandy is a motivating and encouraging personal trainer. She's very supportive and understanding of the fact that I have type one diabetes. Due to diabetes, I need to stop several times during our session to check my blood sugar, and either slow down, drink water, or eat sugar tablets, depending on how responsive my blood sugar is to exercise. She's very patient and thoughtful and never pushes me too much. That being said, she also keeps me accountable, checks my measurements, and reminds me to eat healthy, challenge myself, and workout consistently. Thank you so much for your help! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don't do contracts, however, my payments are either weekly or monthly. The client has a choice between the two. I try to keep my rates competitive. Travel to their location is included in the rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will ask them a series of questions so I can get to know their needs. Once I have that information, I can custom create a program that matches their goal. During our first session, I will have the client sign a few forms (waiver/cancellation policy), next I will take their measurements. With follow ups every month unless the client prefers to measure more frequently. I do not believe in the scale as I focus on how the client feels and inches lost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an ACE Certified trainer. I also do ongoing education to continue to grow and be the best Personal Trainer possible.
