About
Hey There!
My name is BJ Johnson and I’m ordained to be a wedding officiant in California and I’m also a travel advisor! I love helping people create special memories whether that is on your wedding day or a big family vacation! My goal is to partner with you to help create those memories in the best way possible!
I love being able to help make your special day as unique to the couple as possible. From a simple ceremony to a completely custom script I can work with you to ensure your ceremony is all about you!
And for traveling… I love to travel. In particular I love cruises. I’m happy to be able to work with you to create your memory making vacation whether it’s a weekend getaway or or a weeks stay at an all-inclusive resort and everything in between.
Please note that if you are looking to book ONLY air, that I am unable to assist as the company I partner with on my side does not allow air to be booked by itself. It can be booked with a vacation/travel package.
I’m looking forward to working with you to create lifetime memories!

BJ was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful as our officiant. He was very good at coordinating how the ceremony should flow and what would work best for us. Our wedding was very small and intimate and we needed someone last minute so we were very thankful for his help.

It was a pleasure working with BJ for our wedding and happy that we chose him. He understood our personalities and was able to craft a script that had people laughing one moment and crying the next.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Believe it or not, wedding officiant is a competitive industry! As someone who is newer to weddings, I am doing my best to keep my pricing affordable. Weddings can be costly even going the more simple terms. So I am happy to offer affordable pricing. As far as discounts go if you are military, law enforcement, work in a hospital, an educator, or are a paramedic/emt I offer a 15% discount.
I do want people to know that there could be travel fees associated with being your officiant as well. While the base price is $300 there many factors that could cause that to increase, including travel fees. If you are wanting me to be a part of your day but you are more then 40 miles away from Victorville there will be travel fees. Those, of course, are dependent on how far you are. And I do my best to keep those as reasonable as possible.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing, and actually one of the most important I believe, is getting to know the couple. I can't be an effective officiant without this critical step. And so once we have a sit down face to face meeting (in-person preferred, but virtual is a possibility), then the next step is to come to an agreement to have me as your officiant. Then a contract would need to be signed and a retainer deposit paid. At that point the script and other details are worked on. Every step of the way working with the couple to ensure that the ceremony is a special and unique as we can make it!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No specific education or training, except every wedding gets more experience. I love people and I love talking so this is a perfect mix of both! I have worked in customer service for many years and well I talk to different people almost every day for most of my life!
