Setting up my first appointment with Steve was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. In the past, I had many problems and issues with my body (e.g. tennis elbow, wrist/grip issues, and other orthopedic problem). I didnt have the knowledge nor the confidence to go to the gym without the fear of injuring myself from my physical limitations. However, Steve helped me resolve these issues by focusing on proper form in order to prevent injuries. He designed personalized routines that tailored to my condition and needs. After several weeks, I began to see significant improvements in my body such as gain in muscle mass and strength. Now, Im able to finish any type of exercises/workout routines appropriately and accurately without injuring myself. I think the improved results from working with Steve spoke the most. Despite my physical limitations, I was able to successfully gain strength and stability without any problems. In fact, issues with my body (tennis elbow, wrist/grip issues, and orthopedic problem) have begun to disappear. At the same time, I was also able to lift heavier weights. I wont be as strong as I am now without Steve. I have trained with Steve for almost six months now and I am planning to continue. The workout plans he designed and created for me were never boring and always appropriately scaled to my level of difficulty. I strongly believe that the quality of his training and his guidance on nutrition are the reasons why I am able to reach my fitness goals, and ultimately become a happier and stronger person. Harlan is a terrific trainer. I'm a 66-year-old guy, who has been working out with Harlan now for about nine months. I've gone from an overweight schlub, who could barely exercise with stretchy bands, to someone who can hold his own in the gym with guys a decade or more my junior, and I look and feel at least 15 year younger than I did when we started. For many, many years I worked out regularly and then I fell off the workout-wagon about a decade ago. Harlan was a recommendation from my chiropractor, who was helping me with some lower back issues. Harlan has several different certifications as a personal trainer, including one for those of us with "special needs". Well it turns out I wasn't nearly as "special needs" as I thought. Harlan was indeed very careful when we first started, and always found work-arounds for things I was unable to do. But he had considerably more confidence than I did, in what I WAS able to do. And one step at a time, he helped restore my self-confidence along with my physique. Having had Austin as my trainer was a great experience. He is very knowledgeable of the mechanics of the body and how the muscles work together. It's this knowledge that helped me feel very confident in his ability to transform my body, which he did. I started seeing the changes in the first few weeks. I am guilty of not spreading the good word about my positive experiences with businesses, restaurants, people etc. However, with Tina I feel like everyone (esp women) need to know just how awesome she is! For 2 months I was on a serious hunt for a personal trainer. I knew I wanted to work with a female so my mission was more difficult than I anticipated seeing that LA is filled with mae trainers and not as many female ones. I talked to several trainers before I met Tina. After her first email to me I knew I wanted to meet with her and see what she was all about. After our first meeting I was sold! She was the one!! It's no secret that celebrities get a lot of help with maintaining their bodies, but you don't need to be rich or famous to have your own personal trainer. In fact, you dont need to spend a lot of time or even leave the comfort of your own home. Often, we put the 6-month old in a front pack while mom executes her lunges. Now get this: the baby weighs at least 16 pounds and on top of that, this mom holds 12-pound weights in each hand, total = 40-pound lunges. This ain't a walk in the park workout! When the 6-month old is not in the front pack, I help to keep her amused by holding her and letting her watch her mommy do all these silly things, or we incorporate her into the workout as resistance. I tell my clients upfront that they don't need to hire a sitter. I come prepared to do double duty: trainer and child entertainer. Some moms, however, want an hour with their trainer alone. For these moms, we recommend scheduling sessions when dads are available or arrange for a sitter.
