I'm not the greatest in writing reviews. All I can say, is that Stephen is great. He applies the correct pressures. I'm not in pain afterwards like othe massages I received in the past. Yet the "knots" and "kinks" are improved. My massages are excellent. I just want to take a nap afterwards! Stephen is the complete package I was looking for - wholistic, Reiki, yoga etc.

I've been practicing yoga with Chevelle for over a year, its definitely been a trip growing next to her. She encourages mindfulness, which is clearly communicated in her teaching. She gives personal attention to her students, even in a large class setting - making it easier to reach your goals whether they be physical, emotional or spiritual. I recommend Chevelle to anyone looking to learn and grow through their yoga practice!
I have been working with Shan for the last few months to improve my energy levels, muscle/joint aches, and high stress levels. I have tried things like reiki, massage, and other energy work to improve my overall health and I have seen a big difference! Shan focuses on the body as a whole as gets to the underlying causes. I would highly recommend Shan!
I am a beginner beginner in yoga with no flexibity and bad posture. Khemya stayed positive and was very encouraging. I've already arranged for more lessons.
I hired Kristin as a private yoga instructor and she is phenomenal, she had a passion for her work that can only be found in those rare moments in your life. She listens to the type of training you are looking for and works with you accordingly. Her cues for getting you into a pose are easily understandable, and she does it all with patience and a smile. Any other yoga teacher I have will have a lot to live up yoo
We are a certified yoga school (certified with yoga alliance). We offer services to those interested in learning all about yoga. We have daily hatha yoga classes, monthly workshops, teacher training, retreats, kirtan, a gift shop, and much more. Most of our classes are taught in the Iyengar tradition which focuses on healthy alignment of the body as the use of props (which we provide) to make postures more accessible while encouraging the body to open and release. All of our teachers are certified and exceeded the minimum standards required for teaching yoga. Brentwood Yoga Center believes in the community. We provide safe, ethical, educational, fun yoga to all ages, body shapes, and abilities. We believe that practicing together as a community creates a supportive atmosphere in which each student is supported and nurtured in order to grow and develop at their own pace. We encourage questions and comments from students to help us provide a better understanding of yoga and all its benefits.
Gain strength, flexibility and mental clarity through the ancient practice of yoga. I offer yoga classes and private instruction for all levels, including prenatal yoga.
I offer private Yoga Therapy and focused, small group yoga instruction. Practicing, studying and teaching since 2000, my own chronic back pain led me to learn, first hand, how a carefully crafted yoga practice can tranform.
My name is Nichole, and I have a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science. I am also a registered yoga teacher. I was a competitive swimmer for 14 years and swam at the collegiate level for 4 years.
I teach based on where your body is and where you want or need to get it at. I work on sports injuries, back pain, basic flexibility or just for the practice itself!
I enjoy working with individuals and small groups because it allows me to best customize each session so that we can achieve maximum benefits in minimum time.
Staci began her flirtation with yoga as an athlete 12 years ago, but it took a few years to develop a more serious relationship with her practice. After moving to Davis 3 years ago to work and study abroad, she discovered Akasha Yoga Studio and completed her RYT 200. Because of her background in international and outdoor education, she considers herself a lifelong student and is constantly pursuing training and discovering ways to bring a new perspective to her classes. Staci loves the mental and physical freedom that the practice brings practitioners, on and off of the mat. Her vinyasa flow yoga classes include a creative flow of asanas set to inspiring music; each class is a unique journey and invigorating exploration of the body. She also leads workshops and does yoga photography.
I specialize in vinyasa flow with focus on alignment. Unique classes for individuals are based on principles of yoga. I teach breathwork; core strength; meditation; and focus on mind, body, and spirit.
We teach art, dance, music, and yoga, from infants through 7-year-old children, at over 250 locations in the Bay area.
I have been practicing yoga since I was a 8 years old. I have now more than 15 years of experience practicing yoga and teaching it. I have reaped the benefits of this amazing art and now want to share the joy with others. I have seen yoga helping and reaching out to people belonging to all age brackets, affecting their health, mind and body. It helps cure asthma, PCOS, control BP, etc. I am able to control my BP and symptoms of PCOS by practicing yoga. I want to reach out to everyone out there who are facing health troubles due to overweight or people who want to get in shape after pregnancy or people who want to lose the overall fat, yoga is the solution. It helps one lose the water content from the body and build muscle. An inch lost on the body is visible just within 1 month of practice. All one needs is the right asana, proper instruction and regular practice. I have confidence and experience to make it happen for my clients.

My mission is help people understand the benefits of yoga and guide them as they develop their personality at all levels -- physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. Life is busy and finding time to try or practice yoga is challenging for people of all ages. Finding time to come to a studio to practice yoga is even more challenging, so my philosophy is to bring yoga to them making it more accessible to the community, to diverse groups of people including athletes and fitness centers, Sacramento Valley businesses and corporations, health and wellness locations and nonprofits. Since yoga has brought me happiness, strength, balance and focus, I want to share it with everyone. Yoga involves simply practicing various physical stretching poses and deriving benefits at all levels. My approach is keeping yoga simple.
