Pam came over and provided us private instruction in our home on basic cooking skills. Pam did a great job. We will be hiring again this next weekend to help us with preparing for Thanksgiving since it will be our first time cooking everything ourselves. I would recommend Pam to anyone looking for cooking instruction.
I planned a personal cooking lesson for my boyfriend's birthday, and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Chef Keith took time to get to know exactly what we were looking for, and he was flexible in creating our personalized 3 course menu. He showed up to my house on time, and was prepared with all of the food and cooking tools. He even cleaned up afterwards and left my kitchen spotless. The food was amazing! Chef Keith is very knowledgable about cooking. I would highly recommend hiring Chef Keith! It was absolutely worth it!!
Aline is a fantastic chef and a terrific teacher. I loved my first cooking lesson with her, during which we focused on improving my knife skills (I'm traditionally terrified at the thought of chopping herbs and veggies). We made a full meal consisting of lemon garlic chicken, roasted sweet potato and veggies, and a quinoa curry salad. Delicious! Aline is great at making the lesson highly personalized and focusing on skills and knowledge that will benefit me in the long run as well. I have several issues with digestion and intestinal health, so Aline adjusted recipes accordingly and gave me plenty of tips to help ease my stomach problems with proper nutrition. As a first-time cook I was proud of the final meal, and I learned several invaluable tips. I'll certainly be taking another lesson with Aline soon. She's the best!
I am very impressed with Annabel's work! She not only baked the most artistic cake, but also delicious! I ordered 3 cakes from her last October 7 and each one was unique, creative, and delicious. Annabel listened to my needs and also added her own personal touch to the cakes. She was very responsive, professional, and just went above and beyond. The cakes were a little pricey compared to your regular bakery or store bought cake but it's worth every penny. The 3 cakes that I ordered were customized and one cake was a bit complicated due to allergies but I was willing to pay for the extra price. I am a happy customer and I will surely order again from Annabel Sweet Novelette Cake. And you should too!
"I have been trying to get Ed Masciana to teach for ages so that I can take his classes. He is a marvelous cook (chef), teacher, who in addition to knowing Italian food and cooking techniques, has an extensive knowledge of other cuisines---American, French--and the chemistry of food/cooking. I was lucky enough to have Ed teach me the essentials of stock making---fish, chicken, beef and then, how to use the results to make marvelous (the best I ever had and not the usual tomato heavy) cioppino. This lesson taught me how incorporating home made stock elevated whatever soups, braises, etc I would attempt. He also showed me sautéing techniques, imparting a thoughtful approach to sautéing vegetables (and meat/fish as well) based on their density and structure. (I'm still learning, but this was an invaluable lesson.) Ed is a great teacher. He is easy to learn from. He's considerate, imparts skills naturally, with a good sense of humor, so one learns without feeling intimidated. As far as the "being on time" question, that does not even come into play. He's a real teacher with professional standards. He's there to teach when this is called for.
I hired Chef Kerry to prepare all meals for a moderate size group over a weekend. He provided an amazing array of options for every meal that left all of my guests satisfied and full. All of our dietary restrictions were met with exceptionally delicious vegan dishes, desserts, and snacks. I will definitely reach out to Chef Kerry Prince for upcoming events both vegan and traditional in the future.
Chef Billie Sutton provided an awesome cooking demonstration for the Boeing Seal Beach Fitness Center. Her presentation on the dishes she prepared were informative, on point, and most of all, tasty!

I have had Will's cooking on a numerous of different occasions. And I must say Will has a real talent in the kitchen! He can make almost anything from scratch or make things that you don't think will taste good turn out to taste wonderful! My favorite dish he made was a chicken dish with a load of different seasonings. Every bite I had was so moist and tasty (in a good way)! I would highly recommend to try Will's cooking, at least once, you would not be sorry and definitely be pleasantly surprised with how flavorful his dishes taste. :)
The lesson's provided by Chef Travis far exceeded my hopes and expectations! He answered every one of my questions and created videos to demonstrate his techniques. We had lessons using Skype, so we were able to chat and demonstrate skills throughout the lesson. The time spent in his lessons were extremely valuable and lots of fun! Anyone wanting to learn kitchen techniques would be happy to have lessons with Chef Travis!!
Elaine helped my daughter and I with cooking lessons and menu ideas that would work with both of our dietary issues. We spent an afternoon together - through the magic of web cams. We prepared a vegetable lasagna, a spinach and strawberry salad, the most amazing miso soup ever and a squash and edamame treat that was out of this world. The dishes we prepared were made from fresh, organic ingredients that were gluten free, light on salt and most importantly quick and easy to prepare in our busy schedules. Elaine took every culinary and dietary issue of ours and came back with brilliant solutions. Elaine is knowledgeable and approachable with the ability to communicate what she knows without being preachy. I've ordered the Herblends seasonings, and she also has a cookbook. I'm very impressed her knowledge and abilities make great food and show us how she does it.
Tina has very good taste and she's very creative when it comes to whipping up some delicious meals. She has taught me the ways with cooking. She has the skills and just knows how to measure her ingredients. She definitely has the eye for cooking. Its her natural born talent.
