Sessions are whatever you want them to be, but he also doesn't let you out of stuff if you're too tired, and always has a plan and structure throughout each session. I get he workouts written out for me to take home and reference for workouts later; he writes the exercises down as we go. This guy will push you because he believes in you. His passion for what he does is blatant, exciting and clear and I look forward to vibing with him every time we get to work together. Hiring a personal trainer was not an easy step for me to take, because what I had seen of personal trainers and at big gyms was a big turn-off. What set him apart initially was that he offered a ‘no gimmicks, no pressure’ approach, was a (or soon to be a) registered dietician, offered additional services as a personal chef, and could do workouts either at his location or mine. When I started, I was in a hectic transition period with my job and so my schedule was unpredictable. Mike completely understood, and worked with me to schedule workout sessions in a very no-pressure way. During workouts, he pays attention (to safety, to how I am feeling and handling it…), and makes adjustments as needed based on the individual person. He started me on a level I could handle and we are building from there. The workouts are interesting and varied, which makes them fun (imagine that!), and I appreciate his positive reinforcement and encouragement, as it pushes me in a positive way to do the best I can. Based on my experience so far, I can say that Mike cares very much about the progress of his students and goes the extra mile to help them reach their goals. In the short amount of time I have been working with him, I have lost 17 pounds (more to go) and I am becoming stronger. As a result am gaining confidence and setting new goals which I am excited to reach! I would definitely recommend Mike and Start Fresh Fitness.

I worked with Michael Aquilar for about 3mos and cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. I really needed help with diet, smoking and alcohol as well as a strong desire to not only lose weight but to also gain strength. In the 3mos with Michael I was able to lose almost 20lbs of fat and showed very noticeable muscle definition. Michael takes a very personal approach to each session and is not there to make the experience awful. As many people know starting a workout regimen after, in my case, years of sedentary life is difficult. I needed help and not only did Michael ease me into it, what he had me do from an exercise and diet perspective started to take place in the first week. I was blown away that just 3 visits a week (with some personal exercise outside of sessions with Michael) would work as well as it did and has. I cannot recommend Michael Aguilar enough. If you're worried about going to gyms, fear judgement on how you think you look or are just simply not sure a personal trainer is for you I think you should give Michael a shot. He'll change your perspective on health and just how much diet and exercise can really change your life.

Hands down the best fitness money I've ever spent. I get more bang for my buck with Christine's sessions than I have out of any gym membership I've ever bought. She does a great job at doing all the "heavy lifting" - knowing what muscle group to work on, changing the workout so it doesn't get boring, demonstrating proper technique. I moved to Denver leaving a trainer in Chicago that was a personal friend. I respond best to a trainer relationship that is a mixture of professional and casual. Being an openly gay, overweight lumbering enigma, I was concerned that my highly inappropriate sense of humor would create an awkwardness between Chad and I (I just can't help half the crap I say especially under exercise induced duress). Since the first moment I met Chad, he has consistently treated me with dignity and respect, while rolling comfortably with my very unique (crass) sense of humor. Chad is a trainer for the people. I was skeptical since his prices were the lowest I could find and sometimes you "pay for what you get". I assure you, in the case of Obstacle Destruction (Chad Johnson), the product far surpasses the price.

Had a GREAT experience with Obstacle Destruction. Chad Johnson was so easy to work with and my trainer Evan was awesome. Evan created workouts that were tough and hard but not over the top. I had been lifting and working out for a few months prior to meeting Mark. I had already lost a good amount of weight but started to hit a plateau and decided I wanted to seek a personal trainer to help me break my plateau. I searched online and was having quite a bit of trouble finding a trainer that seemed to be the right match for me. I was specifically looking for a trainer with a great deal of knowledge about lifting, nutrition, weight loss, etc. Trying to find the right trainer seemed to be quite a hassle. I was connected with Mark through thumbtack and decided to meet Mark for my initial consultation. Talking with Mark for ten minutes was all I needed to believe I had probably found the right personal trainer. We have been training together for 6 weeks now and OMG this guy is fantastic. He is sooo knowledgeable in every aspect of health and training. He is very easy going and patient and you can tell immediately that he really cares about helping his clients. He is very detailed, always on time for sessions, and really goes the extra mile to help you reach your fitness goals. I have lost and additional 20lbs since I started training with Mark and have gained a ton of muscle mass. Not only that, but I also have such a better understanding of nutrition and how to properly weight lift, control my diet etc. in a way that is most beneficial to me, my health, and my safety. Mark has been my personal trainer for 6 years. Initially it was to lose weight and get stronger, which I did. Under his supervision and guidance I have lost 45 pounds and too many inches to remember. Now, he is helping me train for athletic events. What stands out for me is his ability to really hear me. He listens, he responds appropriately and he gives me solutions that work for me. He does not give me a cookie cutter one size fits all type program - but one that fits me and my life. And he took the time to figure out what approach best motivates me - humor and just enough push to keep me going. I started working with Mark as an out-of-shape, overweight senior citizen. . Many personal trainers have a templet and expect their clients to fit their routine. Not Mark. Mark's professional approach began with a thorough assessment of my capabilities and limitations. From there he designed a series of exercises that built my body's core, cardio and muscles. He knew just how hard to push, always with humor and patience, and when to stop. He knows which machines to use and which ones to avoid. I left each session feeling both "worked out" and enlivened. I started looking for a trainer early last summer. Karisa was very prompt in contacting me and we discussed her training program and my needs. I'm on a different road than most people as I was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and pre-diabetes in late 2015. The cancer meds are taking it's toll on my bone density and when I discovered I am pre-diabetic I knew I had to change my nutrition plan. I did not know much about nutrition so changing my diet caused rapid and extreme weight and muscle loss. I knew I was headed for a lot of trouble and I needed professional help. This is when I started my search for a trainer and I am so thankful I found Karisa! She is very knowledgeable in nutrition/diet, working out and strength training. I was referred to modest fitness by a friend . After three months of working out on my own with minimal results i had lost maybe 9 lbs in that time frame i knew something had to change. initially i was skeptical i live in NYC and Modest Fitness is based in Colorado but after messaging with Stephon back and fourth and getting my first set of workouts my concerns were alleviated. all workouts were scaleable and challenging the first two weeks were tough but we spoke regularly and adjusted when needed. its been six weeks and i have lost 20 lbs which i admit is uncommon but i will take it. I worked with Manny for the better part of a year and I can honestly say the results were transformational in my life. I was heavier than I'd ever been and realizing that my only knowledge of fitness and dieting came from my high school sports coaches (which don't really translate into adult living and the matured body chemistry that comes with it) . Be prepared to get more than you bargained for. My criteria for hiring a personal trainer were 1.) convenience (close to home so I didn’t have an excuse for not making my session), 2. an efficient and effective program and 3.) trainer that would hold me accountable. After a few sessions, reason 2 and 3 were no longer a concern. I was hooked on my work outs. In addition to being a great trainer, Scott is an amazing and personable guy. As a trainer, Scott is focused on 1.) making sure I’m using proper form and 2.) pushing me further than I ever thought I could go. Scott and I have had five sessions together. Initially I was intending to only do those sessions but just purchased an additional 20 sessions as we move towards meeting my goals. Scott has a specific system/program he follows, is thorough in his explanation of the exercises we will do together, and is consistently adjusting/supporting me in my form. Not having a lot of weight lifting training, I appreciate his interest in supporting my program and making it very personal to me (even though we are following a regimented system he follows with all of his clients). Scott has a gym we work out in so there is not the additional cost of having a gym membership specific to the trainer. The gym is very clean, and is close to my home in Stapleton. I highly recommend Scott Beall Fit should you want to gain muscle and lose fat.

Chris clearly has a full schedule of loyal trainees, however, he never once let onto that when it came to personal attention, genuine understanding of goals and individual needs, answering every question thoroughly with investigation if needed, and making himself available to give the push that I often asked of him. He immediately set me up on a self­sustaining lifting regimen, which he tailored each time I saw him to how I was progressing and based on my own feedback. In our sessions I would often hit personal records in my lifts, which usually happened when Chris’ guidance and confidence in my being able to do something was what drove me to make it happen. Chris’ experience and knowledge is not easily parallelled. In addition to personalizing my workouts and taking the time to adjust my program over time outside of our session time, Chris helped me get back on track and gain more control of my eating habits. I was already tracking my macros, however, Chris improved my numbers and always stood by to answer any and all related questions, giving me confidence that I was consistently supported. From his adjustments, adjunct to his training program, I was able to see real results in BOTH weight loss and strength gain! My muscles were more defined, and I was lifting progressively heavier, making me feel proud and accomplished. In a world where many trainers you come across have a big game to talk but little experience or knowledge, Chris is absolutely a pot of gold. I hated all my physical education classes in school. I was afraid of the gym, in general. I never felt very comfortable there, and I was afraid of all the personal trainers because it looked like a bunch of burly men sweating and yelling in the corner. Also, I was afraid a trainer would do something horrible, like pinch by belly and then make me do 100 pushups. In short, I was afraid hiring a personal trainer would be a lot of yelling and no fun, and that there was a high possibility I would be made to feel bad about myself and I would immediately want to quit. I love the gym now. I love all those big weights and grunting men. I love being able to lift more weight than most of those guys. On a practical side, I have more muscles mass, tone and mobility, but the real benefit is that I’m now stronger than everyone I know. Before I started working with Chris, I felt weak, and I thought maybe that was the way I would always feel. But now I know that I can crush anything. Literally. Like with my bare hands. I am more than strong; I am powerful. Chris is just fun to be around. It’s a delight to work with him, even when he’s making me do crunches. If I want real fitness science, he’ll explain it to me, but he’ll also turn our workouts into a game so that I’m mentally and physically engaged. I like that Chris is respectful of my body and my feelings. He keeps the focus on what I want to accomplish with my body, rather than it’s appearance. He won’t push me unless I need to be pushed, and he’ll work with whatever my goals are. He’s also a genius at figuring out what will keep me motivated, whether it’s a Katy Perry soundtrack or a serious discussion about my goals. I hired Chris because I needed to supplement my aerial silks training. All I expected was to gain some strength; I didn’t expect that he would turn me into a Viking Warrior Princess capable of dominating everything in her path. If you’re not working out with Chris, you’re wasting your time and money.

Constant Motion Fitness is the way to go to get in shape! I have been training with Joe for a month now, and have really noticed a difference. After 2 kids and life, I put on A LOT of weight. Not only am I down from a size 20 to a size 16, but I feel stronger and have more energy. In fact, at the bootcamp session today, I was able to run the entire 1/4 mile lap around the park. I NEVER thought that would be possible!!! Joe is an amazing trainer. Not only does he know about how to work the body for the results you want, but he also knows a lot about nutrition! He has helped tweek my diet without being restrictive. The exercises are nothing like traditional boring workouts. There was another group working out at the park where we were and they were doing crunches. Instead of crunches, I was doing rotating squat throws with a 9lb medicine ball. Not only was I working the same ab muscles as the crunch, I was also working my arms and legs and was having a WHOLE lot more FUN!!!! The bootcamp workout is different everytime. I've been going to Constant Motion Fitness Weekly Boot Camps, so I could get into better shape to lay Ultimate! The groups are a great size, so you get a lot of personal attention. It's like you're getting a personal trainer for the price of a group session. I've known our trainer, Joe, for some time, and he is very friendly and knowledgeable. He's really good at targeting your workout to your specific goals, even though the Boot Camp sessions are group sessions. He brings lots of equipment so that you never feel like you're waiting in line for 'your turn'. I really like working out outdoors in the park as well, instead of in some sweaty musty gym. It adds a great deal to the overall experience, and makes me feel like I'm working out in the same environment I'm training for.
