I started seeing Mike a few months ago for private guitar lessons. Having received lessons from a few other people, I can say that make is the best instructor I've had. I felt that I had hit a brick wall in learning music theory before getting lessons from Mike. But over the past few months, Mike has explained guitar music theory to me in a clear, and informative way. I know have a better understanding of guitar playing, and enjoy it more because of that. I would highly recommend getting guitar lessons from Mike whether you are a beginner, or a more experienced player that needs some help learning music theory.
Jeffrey, Is a great Instructor. This is my second time trying to learn the guitar and in three lessons Jeffrey has gotten me to playing a song which I never got to with my previous instructor. Jeffrey has been teaching for a long term and seems to have this knack for making things very simple and easy to learn. If you looking to learn how to play an instrument Jeffery is the guy you want to see. Steve
I have known Jeff since his early childhood, about the time he first picked up a guitar. He has always been intuitive, inventive and refreshing in his own creativity. I know he possesses a tremendous integrity in life and his passion for music. Investing in JR Guitar is not just music lessons but an opportunity to learn dedication from a true musician and inspiration from a wonderful human being. I endorse Jeff whole heartedly and recommend his course to all who desire the same. William L Ruhl- singer/song writer HOTC studio.
I took lessons with Serena as a beginner in her group lessons through the City of Aurora and as a private student after that. I primarily studied jazz, but also checked out other styles. Serena helped me prepare for my college auditions, along with working in playing situations I was currently in, such as rock bands and pit orchestras. Her focus on sight reading has gotten me more work that I can recall, and the diversity of the material learned (especially classical guitar) gave me a great foundation to start from when studying guitar in college. Serena is nurturing to the beginning student, guiding to the intermediate guitarist, and maintains high expectations for the advanced student. Through hearing her other students at studio recitals, I can tell that she gives all students the same attention, regardless of their interests, age, or skill level. I am very thankful for the time I spent learning from Serena, and highly recommend her to anyone interested in developing on guitar.
This middle aged guy decided to pick up something new with bass guitar, and I'm so happy to have lessons with Amber. She is very easy to work with, provided wonderful tools, and the lessons with her have been very good, and very very fun. Great instructor to sit down and even work the basics, and as a beginner making the basic repetitions of skills is very important.
My 9 year old son is taking beginning (quickly becoming advanced beginner) guitar lessons from Dwayne. My son likes Dwayne because "he is descriptive when teaching something, he's nice and talks to you". Dwayne is a genuinely nice and caring person with incredible talent that he readily translates into teaching.
We have been taking our son to Eric for guitar lessons for about three months. Eric is an excellent teacher, and he is doing a great job teaching our son exactly what he should know for his level of talent. We highly recommend Eric for any age and any level of experience!
I have been taking lessons from Michael for almost 10 years. He is excellent. #1 he is an amazing player, but beyond that he is an outstanding teacher. He adjusts his approach based on the interests of the student and can teach any style of bass: rock, jazz, funk, slap, upright. He has a fantastic ear and a great ability to devise custom exercises for problems that arise. I've learned a ton of music theory just from working with Michael. Area pros still come to Michael for lessons and at least several of his former students are now pros themselves. He has a very nice easy going manner as well.He has students of all ages and both genders.
I have been studying the bass with Mark for several months now, and I have seen huge improvements in many facets of my playing. I enjoy working with Mark because I feel he is genuinely excited about teaching, delivering intriguing lessons that stretch the limits of my abilities and open new doors, all while focusing around my personal goals. That energy and excitement makes learning fun and motivates me to push myself further. His teachings have opened up my whole understanding of the instrument- from technique and theory to feel and musicality. If you want to learn bass, learn from Mark at Low-C Bass Studio!
Our son has been taking classical guitar lessons from Rick Pruitt for almost four years now. One of the things we most appreciate about Rick is the positive way in which he relates to his students. In both group and individual lessons, Rick really engages with the kids to encourage them in their love of the instrument. During the year, he provides multiple opportunities to perform at coffee shop recitals which are a wonderful and inviting way to both develop and improve performance skills. We would highly recommend Rick as a guitar instructor.
I am a professional singer. My role as singer of Hell's Belles is demanding. Whitney is a fantastic adviser on all aspects of my position, keeping me at my peak and my very best. Her coaching not only focuses on correct singing technique, but encompasses health, fitness, stage presence, performance counseling and ways of channeling and generating energy to create a meaningful, uplifting and powerful connection with one's audience. She is passionate about her students reaching their maximum potential. She is intuitive, down-to-earth and loads of fun. An amazing and inspiring teacher. Absolutely, 100% recommended. - Amber Saxon (Hell's Belles)
I contacted Alan about guitar lessons for my dad for father's day - he was very prompt, polite & professional in his response. My dad is going to wait until the fall to start lessons, but I will definitely be contacting Alan again!
Gary Sloan has a passion for music I have seen in only a few since I began my musical journey. I have had a few formal and casual lessons from him, which have helped me tremendously. He is patient and empathetic with any skill level and just about any musician could gain from a lesson with Gary, from beginners to experts!
I started taking lessons with Robin about 3 years ago to study bowing techniques to improve my classical skill. I found him to be a very informative and patient teacher capable of explaining very specific details of the instrument at my skill level. Since then I have begun studying jazz with him, as well as various styles of electric bass. Robin is a great teacher, adept at many styles with a great personality. I even used him to coach a jazz trio I formed and the other musicians liked him as well. I highly recomend him as a teacher to students of all ages and skill levels.
Zach not only has an incredible knowledge of both technique, and theory, as well as a deep song repertoire already up his sleeve, he also truly has that magic teacher vibe and skill. He explained things to me in a way I could really understand, whereas others had failed to convey the message in a comprehensible way for me. I think he's very adaptable to different learners in that sense. He's also just a straight up good, honest guy, that I enjoy being around. He makes learning fun, easy, and rewarding! I would recommend him to anyone interested in bass, music theory, composition, live performance, recording, etc. Zach really provides a wealth of knowledge for learners of all types.
Sean is a brilliant bass teacher. He is highly knowledgeable about his instrument and about music theory. He has a knack for understanding what the student needs. I learned the basics much more quickly than I thought I would. Sean is so patient that I always felt that it was safe for me to make mistakes, which greatly accelerated my progress.
Jeremy has been giving me bass lessons for the past 3 months or so, and in that time we have strived closer to my goal of learning about music theory in each lesson. Jeremy clearly puts effort into preparing his lessons for the needs of individual students, and does a great job delivering those. Furthermore, he understands the subtleties of several different styles of music including jazz, classical, and rock. Jeremy uses that knowledge to talk about how different types of music are played on bass as part of his lessons, which I think is extremely interesting. Ultimately though, what I appreciate most is Jeremy's demeanor. I was initially very nervous to have my bass playing judged by a teacher, but his easy going and somewhat team oriented approach quickly put me at ease with making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. I would definitely recommend Jeremy to anyone wanting to take bass lessons. I'm certain he will put the effort in to help you achieve your specific goals. He seems to enjoy not only the music, but the teaching of it as well.
TJ is an outstanding guitar instructor. Without his patience and understanding, I would have quit long ago. He encourages me to keep pushing myself, and I see myself improving immensely! His extensive enthusiasm and knowledge of music is displayed during every lesson we have. Easily one of the most personable and talented musicians I have ever met.

I teach private guitar or piano lessons in Denver, approaching both from a view of getting people quickly into playing music they like and creating their own music. I teach music theory and technique exercises, as they are relevant to being able to play or create what a student and I are working on at the moment, so lessons stay fun, and progress is visible.
I have been teaching and playing bass professionally for over 20 years. I teach both acoustic and electric bass. Beginners are welcome.
