I have been a patient of Scott's for almost a year. I started seeing him thinking he would be just like all the other therapists I had seen and that he wouldn't make a difference. He proved me wrong in our first session. He is a very kind man that really listens to what you are saying and has an amazing way of seeing things. He always helps me see things in a different light and has been able to help me through every situation I have come to him with. He has not only helped me get through my own struggles but has also been the reason I have been able to help my daughter get through her struggles. He has taught me how to communicate with her and how to be the mom she needs me to be through her trying situation. He is reliable and absolutely amazing at what he does. I feel very blessed to have met him and so thankful for everything he has done for me. Scott definitely found the right career for himself and I would highly recommend him to anybody that is looking for a therapist!
Psychotherapy for my son. Beth is my son's psychotherapist and she keeps great boundaries in her role as such. He trusts, confides and looks for her guidance and she is responsive to my concerns without violating anyone's trust in the process. He is working through a lot of things and I am glad he has Beth to help him. I'd highly recommend Beth.
“I strongly recommend RJ Handley as a spiritual life coach. He has strong people skills which include an unusual talent for active listening. RJ also has the gifts of insightfulness and articulation which come from his ability to process information on a deep level. Last but not least, he has a wonderful sense of humor which helps others to relax and not take themselves too seriously.” Dr. Rebecca Sheill Willson, PhD. Psychotherapist.
I contacted Gloria because her profile looked like she'd have a more personal approach than the other therapist I saw. I was right. We clicked right away and I knew she "got" where I was coming from. I thought I was headed for couples counseling but with Gloria's help I'm able to see my role in my relationship and so far I'm getting along so much better with my partner. I never realized how much my family affected me growing up or why I had a hard time in relationships. Thanks to Gloria I'm so much better. She always says it was me who did the work but I never would have gotten here without her.
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation to Bonnie and for her expertise in Hypnotherapy. I had a lot of things going on in my life recently that created so much stress that it affected everything from my sleeping, daily energy even my health. I decided to try something different. I contacted Bonnie to see if she could help. Bonnie helped me so much that I now am able to cope with much of the stress that life throws my way. My sleep has been the biggest improvement I wanted to thank Bonnie for her help. I am in a much better place because of Bonnie.

I offer psychotherapy services to individuals and couples. My approach to the therapeutic relationship is one of curiosity and respect for the human condition. I believe the client is not a label, but a unique individual with needs, wants, emotions, interest, behaviors, and depth. Using a person-centered and experiential approach to the therapeutic process enables me to learn about the uniqueness of each individual, and gain insight into their world. I believe that insight into our selves can be achieved through our experiences. In the therapeutic process, I use a variety of mediums for exploration. Mindfulness is not just thinking, but it is about bringing awareness to everyday activities and thoughts. This can be achieved through the therapeutic conversation, art, role plays, and a mind-body connection. I believe becoming mindful of our minds, heart and body is key to becoming a more authentic self. Using a cognitive behavioral approach, I have helped individuals identify unhealthy behaviors and choices, in order to live a healthier, fuller life. Using EMDR, I have helped individuals increase their ideal performance level, overcome chronic pain, lessen the effects of anxiety, and assist in alleviating stress. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, bipolar, healthy sexuality, relationships, sexual abuse, family issues, LGBT issues, and life transitions. I have experience with court-ordered therapy for both juveniles and adults.
Congratulations! By simply looking for a therapist to help you address whatever problem you are currently facing, you have already taken the first step to making your life better. I help clients to identify the small, oftentimes overlooked steps they are currently making, and then help them identify what other steps are needed to find lasting change. Whether the problem is a life transition (i.e. family, employment, relationship) or something you have struggled with for years (i.e. depression, anxiety, addiction, history of abuse), I work with clients to envision a life in which these problems are resolved forever. In working in this way, clients not only resolve the current problems but discover the answers they have been longing for in order to understand themselves and move forward to a life of which they previously only dreamed. I work with people with a wide range of issues. Some people simply want a life coach in order to make better decisions. Others come following sudden, unexpected problems such as relationship, family or employment struggles. Yet others come to address long-standing issues such as past abuse, addiction, depression, etc. With over 20 years of experience, I have seen a lot. But, most importantly, I have seen people find solutions to the most challenging problems. Give me a call, and lets see how I can help.
