I started out underweight and had pretty much no fitness experience. Berto has helped me turn my own physical health into a sustainable lifestyle. Over the last two and a half months I've gained fifteen pounds of muscle and I feel great! The community at Modevo Fitness is supportive and friendly. Berto is laid back but pushes me to do my best. I'm leaving the state in a few months and I'm bummed because I wish I'd found this place sooner. I'd highly recommend For Them Gainz (in fact I'm trying to get my parents to go) and I'm grateful that I've had the chance to work with Berto.
Daria, is a great yoga coach/trainer. Im a beginner and wanted to quickly learn the absolute correct form and postures quickly, so i can join a yoga class and participate without injury. In 3 one on one classes, we achieved that goal. Totally worth it!
Jerome is an exceptional health coach and personal trainer. My experiences with him have been nothing short of fantastic. He clearly is very well educated about health and fitness. He makes workouts exciting while also taking the care and time to inform you about the proper technique and body maintenance required to improve one's fitness. Jerome really brings an incredibly positive and energetic approach to workout sessions. He has skill in both personal, and group sessions, being able to go from one to the other without missing a beat. Jerome displays a genuine care for those he works with and he can very easily set the pace, or go with the client's needs and restrictions. Working with Jason as my personal trainer was an excellent experience. Jason is extremely professional, and conducts himself with the highest level of integrity. But overall, Jason is a caring and thoughtful person. He wants you to reach your goals and he knows that every person is unique. His knowledge of the human body and nutrition is deep and vast and he used this expertise to develop a program that helped me to move toward and reach my goals. Working with Jason helped me run my first marathon which at one point seemed unattainable to me. I have worked with several trainers, and coaches and overall Jason is the person I would recommend without reservation.
I highly recommend WillPower Fitness. I contacted WillPower Fitness to find a personal trainer, and found credible trainers with comprehensive personal training programs to help me to reach my goals. (exactly as it's advertised) How I see the gym environment: It's a great, welcoming community with music playing, natural light, and trainers coaching members through sets and reps. You can hear encouragement to members on that last rep, telling them they can do it. They have the variety of equipment, activity, and resources you need. The trainers are somehow attentive to the entire gym, keep everyone busy, communicate well, and have the knowledge I wish I had about the body and its needs...from weight-loss to elite athlete programs. How it started for me: I came to my first session with defined fitness goals and a lot of my printouts from previous 'training programs.' That first day we jumped right into a training session, and I assumed it was to evaluate my fitness level. A few days later, I found out that my trainer actually read those grids from past trainers -- I was impressed he cared. He explained the target muscle groups of my previous program versus how the body works and the strength I need to build. When I competed in the past I never felt fit in the right way, and paired with this logical justification, it made sense that my training needed an adjustment. My updated program focuses on finding maximum efficiency and developing the muscles needed to perform intervals over a long period of time. Plus, building strength in the right way to support joints and mobility, which I assume helps me avoid injury. It is definitely worth it.
Andrew Vandyke is everything you want in a mental health professional. He listens and doesn't play the out of book type therapy. Forget 12 step, there are much better ways to get and stay sober without having to follow a program that has very little positive outcome. Doc understands the struggle is real. I would recommend his service to anyone who is having mental health issues.

I have never been very active or interested in fitness, but finally push came to shove and I started feeling very down and out about my body, I was very nervous at first, scared that it would be embarrassing or worse, I would be working with someone who made me feel uncomfortable or that I didn't like. Karisa was like a breath of fresh air, all my fears fell away with our first meeting! She is very friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable immediately! It did not take long before I started seeing results, and feeling more confident. Even though she pushed me hard, she continuously made me feel capable and like I could do it. We really built a trust and friendship, I was excited to meet with her, it became kind of like therapy, and like I was getting to hang out with a good motivating girlfriend. I was feeling stronger, more energized, and overall healthy in no time. She continued to push me, even when I didn't want to work, and she continued to motivate me and help me see results. I never felt bad or judged if cheated my diet, and I learned so much about myself, my nutrition and my fitness! I love working with Karisa, and will continue to work with her. I would recommend anyone to work with Karisa! She helped me work out a lot of problems I didn't even know I was having, physically, mentally and emotionally! After working with Karisa I can honestly say I have found a new level of wellness that I could not have done without her. She genuinely changed my life. Thanks for being an awesome fitness coach!!
I have been a member of Camp MissFits for 5 years and it has been a wonderful experience. The coaches are great trainers and motivators. They know when you need that extra push to reach the next level. Camp MissFits also incorporates teaching of an all around lifestyle with classes in healthy eating, recipe planning, and numerous others. Fun events are planned to allow us to step outside the "normal" workout routine such as the upcoming Turkey Run.
I found Stephanie on Thumbtack as I sought help for my health concerns of perimenopause symptoms, weight gain, migraines, low energy and managing stress. I knew that Stephanie was the right Health Coach and Nutritionist for me during the initial free consultation! Stephanie has a compassionate approach of providing support to make changes that become healthy habits that can be sustained long-term. I really benefited from learning about the importance of proper and adequate sleep as a foundation to improving my health. Stephanie helped me by breaking down my health goals into actionable “baby steps” that were attainable. As I incrementally reached my goals I gained more confidence in making lasting changes for my health. I loved that Stephanie summarized our sessions and her recommendations in an email. I’ve printed out all of these session notes and recommendations (attachments) and created a binder that I continually reference. I’m very proud of my accomplishments in working with Stephanie! In 6 months I attained my weight loss goal of 20 pounds! I’m getting restful sleep and waking up feeling well rested. My energy has increased and I now can’t miss my daily walks of 30 minutes+ and am incorporating strength training. I rarely get a migraine headache and I’m so happy about that! I also feel that my hormones are more balanced and PMS symptoms have been reduced. I’m also managing stress more effectively and the proper supplementation has helped immensely in improving my health overall. I’ve enjoyed trying new recipes and meal ideas that Stephanie has provided. It’s been fun experimenting with lots of new foods and experiencing new tastes! I was unable to secure a time with Tom. The issue seemed to be around his availabilty. He initially wanted only weekday hours for training which didn't work for me as an adult with a traditional full time schedule. We then had a brief conversation about finding a Saturday AM time when he found out he could only rent lanes at his rec center at very restricted times. I was pleased about trying to find a Sat AM appointment but then Tom lost contact all together. There don't appear to be many swim instructors for adults in the area and I think given his background Tom could have a very robust business but it is going to require off hour availability as the majority of adults who have enough expendable income for a swim coach will work more traditional schedules.
Ruthie has counseled me in women’s health for a little over a year now and all I can say is thank you! I only wish I had all the information she has provided me earlier in my life. She has helped me understand my cycle, identify when things aren’t in alignment with my body, and I now make more conscious decisions when it comes to the food I am eating. Would highly recommend Andrew. The combination of dietician and nutritional knowledge is perfect for dealing with health issues, weight management and fitness needs. The fact that he is also a chef allows clients to have unique and enjoyable meals prepared for them if they choose. I have used all of his skill sets and the service has been excellent.

I have personally been through many treatments and have had many therapists and mental health work for the past 3 1/2 years. The experience and information I got from my therapist at the step program was amazing. I was at a point where I was ready to engage and work in the work but how Maurico listened and also tried to explain things in a way I'd understand. It was nice to focus on the present and tools to help reach my goal and accept my past and live with it instead of focusing on things I had focused on in other programs or with other professionals. I feel like the only thing that would be been more helpful was if the program was twice a week or every other week. So thankful I got to successfully complete IOP and that i got the therapist that walked through it with me
I learned so much having her as my health coach! I learned how to respect my body and actually care about continuing my road to a healthier lifestyle. It has been almost a year since the end of our sessions, and I still have the curiosity of how my life can be improved by healthier living that was instilled in me during our sessions. I also have the knowledge and determination to act on that curiosity, and I believe I would not have any of that if not for Drishti Holistic Health.
