I hired Mr. Edwards for tutoring in College Algebra. I have not started my class yet, but Mr. Edwards has already been helpful in meeting with me one night a week to get me ready for when I do start class in the Spring. He is very easy going which makes it really easy to talk to him and ask questions. I would recommend Mr. Edwards to anyone who was looking for a math tutor!

I am currently an instructor and have had the privilege to work with Juanita. I have seen her teaching skills in action and she is an outstanding educator. She is able to take advanced concepts and break them down into parts that are easier to digest. She is able to teach through many different methods until she is satisfied that you understand the material. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing some assistance.

David Laughter's tutoring is still on-going. My daughter feels very comfortable w/him & his fee is fair. He's always accommodating on our meeting place which is @ local libraries. Its still too soon to report on actual grade results but I feel confident that my daughter's math knowledge will only improve with this one on one instruction.

Anna worked with our daughter in 8th grade and the summer between 8th and 9th grades on Algebra. Anna helped our daughter go through problems in preparation for exams, helped her learn concepts that weren't clear and helped her go through the summer bridge online math program assigned by our daughter's school. Anna was consistently patient and thorough. She is a wonderful teacher who helps bring clarity to complexity with an encouraging, edifying teaching style.

I've worked three times with Stephenie and she is so patient. Also, she has been available in a pinch when I've needed her. She's made College Algebra a lot less intimidating and I am so grateful to have found her.

David Johnson is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of my Spanish course (a one-on-one course of instruction), to include vocabulary, grammar, and relevant historical information concerning various Spanish speaking countries. The fact that he studied in both Argentina and Spain allows him to enrich the instruction by sharing personal experiences, local information, and vocabulary used in the particular countries. Additionally, the book (VISTAS) is absolutely the best I have ever used over the years of studying or reviewing Spanish! Use of its Internet site is an every day part of the course, and is filled with numerous aids and exercises. This further enrich one's learning experiences, thereby providing David the opportunity to use the classroom time to focus on areas for which the student requires specialized attention or additional information. In summary, the personalized instruction, the quality of the study materials, and the prices are hard to beat. I have no reservations about recommending Palmer College of Languages.

About

I have played percussion and guitar for eight years. My guitar experience involves classical training, jazz, rock, and bass guitar. For percussion, I am well versed in concert percussion and drum set, but my specialty is rudimental percussion (drumline). I have taught guitar and drum lessons before. For tutoring, I have tutored algebra before and have learned up through Calculus 1. However, I am better at writing and reading. These skills require practice to improve, and I have had lots of practice. As a philosophy major in college, most of my classes emphasize writing papers, and I have learned how to read difficult texts. I understand how to write well and can help you improve your writing.
