We are very happy with the tutoring my son received for the SAT. He needed help with both the math and English sections. Arbor knew exactly what to do for the new SAT.

I appreciate Ann as an online tutor. Ann is a certified Reading Interventionist with a big heart for helping kids succeed in the area of reading. I met Ann through a group I created called The Ultimate Support Group for Online Tutors. She is always willing to help others, be of service, speak at conferences, and share her knowledge. I have had the opportunity to watch Ann teach lessons to kids through videos she has submitted to me, and I was impressed with how well she connected with her students and how effective she was as a tutor. You would have to be crazy not to hire Ann.

I am on the pre-med path and am majoring in Physiology. I am completing my pre-requisites now and have made Juanita a big part of my study process. Chemistry, Biology, A&P, English, you name it, she knows it front and back! She explains things very clearly and in many different ways so if I don't get it the first time, I'm guaranteed to understand it completely by the end of our study session. Flexible hours and awesome rates.... I love her!

      About

I am a college student currently attending the University of Denver. I am majoring in psychology and communications with a minor in Spanish, and I run and coordinate a volunteer tutoring program at my school. I have experience tutoring children in all academic subjects, from ages 5-13, and I can tutor older students in beginning and intermediate Spanish in reading, grammar, writing, and conversational speaking. Since I am not a licensed tutor, I am very affordable and willing to work with varying financial situations. Most of all, I am very patient, caring, and efficient!

We have set the standard for affordable quality tutoring in the Pikes Peak region by working with highly qualified tutors, most of which are certified teachers and retired teachers. We have helped students earn over $20 million in scholarships over the last 3 years alone. Both the mayor and CO Biz magazine have recently recognized us for our work within the community. Most of our tutors have a master's degree and/or a National Board Certification, and several of the tutors have won awards, even at the national level.

      About

I recently graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA in North Colorado Springs. I loved school, and always helped my younger sister and cousins with their schoolwork as well. I am currently tutoring a six year old in reading, spelling, and math, and would love to help your child as well! I feel comfortable with all subjects in grades up to high school. As far as high school, I can't tutor in Math, but I can help your child to study anything that he needs to.

      About

I have been a professional tutor for the last 2 years and have helped students achieve their goals in all levels of math, reading, and writing. From teaching 4th-6th grades to serving as a senior outdoor education instructor, I have held many roles in education. I currently hold a professional license to teach in the state of Colorado and am a certified Calming Kids Yoga instructor. I also helped revamp the curriculum for the National Youth Leadership Training Institute with the Boy Scouts of America. I have experience with Everyday Math, Singapore Math, Every Child a Reader, DIBBELS, Readers and Writers Workshop, and other elementary programs. Clients can expect my tutoring sessions to be targeted to the individual needs of my students. We will use a variety of mediums to meet the needs of the student. I believe that communication is critical between teachers, tutors, and families to help maximize our time together. I typically meet families in their home for 1-2 times per week. Having a professional teaching license, I am quite familiar with the goals and objectives of an elementary curriculum and seek to connect students in engaging ways with the material. I believe that hands-on education helps provide opportunities for all students to critically analyze our world. One such example of capitalizing on little loved resources came when I tutored a lesson on the rock cycle to a small group of students. Out of the box, I deliberately selected the worn down, wrapper-less, seemingly uninspiring crayons that most students would throw away in an effort to be creative. These brave little volunteers would serve as my test subjects. Slowly, I cut the crayon bits into small chunks. One could feel the excitement in my room! After taking turns pounding on the tin foil to represent pressures within the Earth, we exposed the crayons to heat via a dumpster dived candle and reused piece of tin foil leftover from our mystery meat camp dinner. My students synthesized their own theories before we compared what actual Stem scientists had concluded. And, best of all, this lesson used recycled materials!
