I'm leaving the original review below as some of that still applies. We had a good experience with Nick on our first project (see below). The uppers on one wall are going to have to be reinstalled as they are slowly detaching from the wall, but that's not why I'm writing today.
We hired Nick for another kitchen cabinet install project that went poorly. Basically, this is what happened: we paid his deposit, he started work, and about halfway through I guess it wasn't going as he expected? I actually don't know, because eventually he just flaked out and stopped returning all of our calls and texts over a period of about two weeks. We still have no idea what happened. Maybe this is just how younger people are these days, but I simply cannot comprehend how someone flakes out on a half-complete project, deposit in hand, and then does not have the self-respect to at least pick up the phone and explain to his (repeat) clients what happened. This is almost a side gripe at this point, but it was also poor work, we had to redo everything, costing us more money and time. To be fair, the house was built in 1920 and had the usual issue with walls out of square, etc, so it wasn't a straightforward installation.
All that said, Nick is a really nice guy, and has some skills and the tools to do well in this industry. I absolutely HATED updating this review, but I can no longer in good conscious put my name to the below review.

Nick did an awesome job assembling and installing ikea kitchen cabinets in my 1900 home…which doesn’t have ANY normal conditions such as straight walls, studs, etc. He showed up when he said he would and was extremely meticulous and thoughtful with his approach, checking in with me only when critical decisions needed to be made. I could immediately tell he knew exactly what he was doing, freeing me up to focus on other tasks. Hope to hire him again soon!
