Brooks'n'Friends were an amazing part of our wedding reception! We had a wide variety of ages (0-95) and the music was enjoyed by all. They were incredibly friendly, timely, and went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend them for any party you might be throwing! The songs were timeless classics that everyone sang could sing and dance along to. All my song requests were met beautifully :) The experience was incredible and very special! THANK YOU ALL for the lovely night of music and dancing and laughter!

I was looking for a fun event for the family that included some hip hop dance while meshing old school and new school moves, music, etc. This was a birthday gift for my husband that included the kids, ages 14, 11 and 9. While at first, I expected their shyness to show through, which it did, they were dancing and jumping around like crazy by the end of the session. Jessica did a wonderful job at keeping the kids involved and interested while still giving dance moves that the "adults" knew from our growing up days that are still considered fun and spunky for today's kids. It was an awesome experience that left us laughing, working hard and loving every minute of it!

Working with Gabriel at Ananda Academy of Dance was a dream come true! Gabriel has a true gift for teaching a person to dance, while also creating a delightful, stress-free environment to learn in. My husband (then fiancee) and I brought our first-dance song to Gabriel a few months before our wedding. He then choreographed a routine that went beautifully with the music and worked with us in handful of private lessons to polish our moves and build our confidence. Our first dance was a highlight of our wedding and we still have friends and family comment on it years later.

Dancing at Colorado Dancesport for the past eight years has enriched my life in so many ways. I started dancing later in life, my mid 40s, without a partner. I had a great desire to learn to dance with minimal natural aptitude. Toby Munroe, my teacher at CDS has been do inspiring, patient, and willing to teach me at my own pace. As a physician I can say I have had many teachers in my life, but Toby is one of the best, He understands that each student learns differently and is able to individualize instruction to help them learn most effectively You are never too old to learn to dance, and the warm encouraging environment at CDS is a great place to learn. You will find that the warm, supportive atmosphere is a place where it is easy to make friends and you doin become part of the dance family at CDS.

My dad and I had a great experience learning to dance for my wedding in a very short amount of time. We learned a choreographed dance (despite our lack of skills or experience) and they were very patient with us as we struggled to learn the moves. Even simplified things for us as needed AND edited the song for us. Everything went off without a hitch on the day of. Thanks again!

    About

I enjoy seeing my students have fun and become better dancers.

    About

I run a project about women's empowerment trought dance. Belly and tribal dance are especially powerful for women due to their wave movements which helps women to reconnect with their bodies. I am a qualified teacher from Spain. I have used my dance skills both to teach and to dance on stages in shows and concerts. I teach also salsa dance for individual dance, sexy dance, and world fitness dance, which are short and easy choreografies from different rythms of the world designed to work-out and have fun. I have learned several different dance styles that I use for my shows such as jazz, tribal, rask shakti, gypsy, funky, sexy and ballroom dances such as salsa, waltz, mambo, cha-cha-cha... I also use dance as a meditative tool with dances such as derviches dance or kirtams. I love dancing as a way to meditate and reconnect with the inner-self and also to raise energy levels and have fun. I love to see how people find new ways to enjoy and challenge themselves. This leads to a growth in their confidence and self-esteem. I know that people get healthier due to the physical and mental work... YES, that happens! The brain gets extra stimulation due to the process of learning movements because of the physical and mental work involved. This helps to re-enforce the neural connections and reawake the brain. Dance is used as a theraphy for healing neural problems Dance can reduce the effects of illness such as parkinsons and the aging process. I find dance to be a therapeutic tool which improves the physical, mental and emotional state. And also allows you to have lot of fun and to glow.

    About

Our instructors are all internationally trained in their area of expertise. Their goal is to teach you how to dance correctly the first time, not suck your money from your wallets.

    About

I give lessons as well as choreograph for weddings, processions, recessions, and father/daughter and mother/son dances. I unfortunately do not do classical ballroom choreography, but if you are looking for a duet that doesn't need to strictly be a waltz, salsa, etc., I can help you out. I also cut and edit music, so if you're needing an elaborate dance with different songs, I can take care of everything.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50.
