After the repairs and upgrades, everything is working as it should.The humidifier has kept my home at 50% humidity or higher all winter, which has made a noticeable difference. This was a really negative experience. I have an old swamp cooler that I wanted to get functional - I knew the fan worked fine but had never hooked up water. Yuriy first tried to upsell me on replacing it with a several thousand dollar new air conditioning system. When I said no to that he pointed out that the pads needed replacing and that it was rusty and might leak. He didn’t explain to me how it functioned or what might be done to address the leaks, and he never stayed to see how much it leaked before leaving, he just shut the water off. When I turned the water on and discovered the leak he agreed to come back and look at it and did what was clearly going to be an ineffective repair, as well as replacing the float valve - if this needed replacing why didn’t he do it the first time? The leak got much worse. I ended up patching the leak myself, as well as having to reinstall the incorrectly installed float valve so that it wouldn’t constantly overflow. When I called to ask for a partial refund he gave me $50 back, so I essentially paid $300 to do the repair myself.
