I have been training with Mike for several years- first through training sessions through a gym where he worked and then I followed him when he went out on his own. I've never been keen on exercising, and I've tried working with other trainers, but it's never stuck. I sought out a trainer because I wanted to improve my strength and ability to lift heavy tiles in my line of work. I have also seen Mike tailor training regiments to weight loss or general health and nutrition. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to perfecting the basics. His focus on the foundations allows him to make sure your technique is strong enough to add weight, switch up combinations, and feel confident with your knowledge even when you're working out independently (if you're the kind of person that does that). I would highly recommend Mike, no matter your current level of knowledge or strength.
I trained with Jason for approximately 2 years before he moved to LA. Jason is a dedicated and motivated professional that provided me with an excellent personal training experience with results. Since I've been following Curtis' pre and post workout nutrition programs, I've lost fat, and gained lean muscle. I've also noticed significant endurance gains when performing more intense WODs. During the Keenist three-month program, Stephanie offered expert-level knowledge as well as tangible ways to break down my wellness goals. Her blended approach of both nutrition and lifestyle counseling helped to uncover and address some of my issues around food that I had been unable to get past on my own. During our sessions, she asked insightful questions and provided customized strategies for me to use so that I could focus on whichever aspects of my health and wellness were most pressing for me. After every interaction, I came away with accessible hacks and suggestions to implement. I recently completed an amazing and successful mountain bike race season where I managed to maintain a disciplined and intense training schedule. I made a habit of cooking healthy meals, taking my supplements, completing a ridiculous amount of squats and committing to a slightly unhealthy love affair with my bike. I demanded from my body more than I ever thought it would give me. My motivation for all of this came from Rachel with Nutrition Works. She graciously took me under her wing and set up my first nutrition and training program. It was based on perceived exertion (no heart monitor needed!) and built me up according to what my race schedule was like that month. Theres actually a science to this stuff, who knew? I learned so much from Rachel during this time, but she also encouraged me to learn from myself, from my body. I used the local race series to practice hydrating, eating and recovery. I learned the valuable lesson that dried apricots were not the best food to eat while racing, but almond butter and jelly sandwiches were perfect. My body responded very quickly to its new routine, and my riding and endurance was really starting to improve. My goal for the last endurance race of the season was to ride at least 100 miles, an accomplishment I never thought possible so quickly. I'm proud to say that I finished that race with 130 miles under my belt, and I attribute a lot of that success to Rachel. I look forward to coming in strong next season, and am excited to see what Nutrition Works has in store for me!

I participated in a nutrition program with Brian Lewis. He provided weekly coaching and encouragement regarding healthy eating and weight loss. Brian approached his responsibility with me as a team member; we created a project we worked on together and for which we both had a sense of responsibility. I found this very motivating. Someone else cared about my success! I learned that how one eats is primary to weight loss; that exercise has an important role to play but one can not exercise one’s self into weight loss. I also came to see the importance of sleep and stress reduction. Brian taught me these things over the twelve-week program. I learned that there are levers I can move in my diet to regain control when I have excursions – those darn social eating opportunities. Brian executed his role with high expectations, respect, and understanding. He had answers for all my questions, no matter how goofy. He listened when I explained the life events that were my barriers to success – and offered suggestions for getting around them. I am enamored by people who do their jobs well. I consider Brian to be part of the village of people I need to care for me at a very stressful junction in my life.
I have found Heather to meet all of my nutritional needs in regards to pre existing auto immune imbalances. She has formulated spot on protocol (herbs, nutrition and lifestyle) and offered me so much relief as well as education on how to help my body heal. I have also been going to Heather for body work and have not found anyone comparable to her technique, intuition and care. I recommend Heather as top notch with her years of experience and passion.
I have been receiving massage therapy from Talitha & Dan for almost 20 years and highly recommend them both! I am a fairly athletic person and utilize massage to keep my muscles more flexible and loose to help prevent injuries and for help in recovery if I have an injury. I also use it for stress relief and relaxation. They are good at attending to what is problematic. They do a very muscle specific type of massage which I find especially effective in relieving pain, keeping me moving and helping with my stress level. They have also worked on other members of my family who love their work as well. They have shown me movement therapy that has improved my flexibility and also given our family lots of tips to keep us healthy. I know you'll find their work & nutritional expertise highly satisfactory!
Spring was a life saver for me and my family. She coached me on nutrition for my hyperactive son. Diet made such a huge difference in his behavior and Spring offered suggestions and meal plans to help us.
