Hello! I’m a retired Air Force mechanic and currently a Lockheed Martin Space engineering manager who loves fixing and upgrading things around the home. From assembling furniture and installing light fixtures to tackling general home improvements, I bring a detail-oriented, reliable approach to every project.
I enjoy working with electronics, staying current with new technology, and treating every job as if it were for my own home. As a one-person operation, you’ll always know exactly who’s doing the work. i will sometimes bring my teenage son to assist with light work but it won't add to your price...it will only make it faster!
I’m committed to completing your project to your satisfaction, or your money back. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, hands-on professional to help with your next home project, I’d be happy to help.
Please note that my rate is $60/hr with a 2-hr minimum and if I can't fix or at least diagnose your issue, I won't charge you for it! Thanks!

I had an incredible experience with AJ.
I hired AJ to patch a hole in an interior door for me. Due to the nature of the work requested, he needed to stop by twice. He was on time and communicative both times as well as being very close to his estimated time to complete the project.
He was on time and courteous as well as being more than willing to allow me to watch him work and even teach me a thing or two while he did it. He brought all of his own tools and knew exactly what he needed to do when he arrived.
He kept the work area clean and went above and beyond what I had initially asked for, including helping me re-hang the door and giving me some seriously helpful pointers for painting it.
(I only hired him for the patch, not the painting so this was incredibly helpful and kind)
He did not leave or ask for payment until I was 100% happy with the work completed.
I would highly recommend AJ to anyone. Especially those who may not be especially knowledgable about what they're working on. I felt like I had not only hired a professional, but a guide towards a successful project.
Again, don't judge the paint job as that was me. AJ made the entire hole disappear and is truly a master of his many crafts.
Thank you, AJ!

I had a great experience with AJ Spark & Assembly! I had just moved into a third-floor apartment by myself and was feeling completely overwhelmed. I needed help assembling a three-seat sectional and an eight-drawer dresser—and apparently couches need assembly now!
He was very professional, efficient, and handled everything with care. The furniture was assembled perfectly, and he made what felt like a stressful situation so much easier. He arrived on time (early actually) , worked quickly, and left everything looking great.
If you’re looking for a reliable VET for furniture assembly, I highly recommend AJ Spark & Assembly. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again..... and will be calling him back soon!

Thanks Margaret for the kind words. It was my pleasure although it took a couple days to assemble the complex desk. Your cat kept me company so it wasn't that difficult. call me if you need anything else in the future!
