- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always start with your Muscle Imbalance Assessment... our scientific assessment completely unique in the industry which tests; Muscle Imbalances Skeletal Alignments During Movements Age-Based Strength Core Strength / Balance Muscle Imbalances Your body will show us different movement patterns based on how balanced or imbalanced your body is. Each muscle imbalance causes certain muscles to over work while others are not working enough. These have been shown in research to lead to overuse injuries of the muscles, tendonitis, and even ligament injuries when severe. Skeletal Alignments During Movements It's one thing to look at someone's standing posture, and quite another to look at all postural alignments during movements. An extra forward lean during a squat can cause unwanted stress on your back during the movement, but will also cause even more harm later. It shows us that you have tight hip flexors, which if not corrected will tilt the pelvis up in the front (posterior pelvic tilt) leading to more stress on your lower back while sitting in a chair. Does your back hurt while sitting at work? We can fix that! Age-Based Strength We understand that your strength should be different at 60 than it was at 20. We also understand that strength has more to do with functionality rather than how much you can lift for one rep. Certain measurements of strength are key to preventing injuries, or even helping you overcome previous ones with less day-to-day pain. Want to find out whether your strength scores will help prevent or lead to injuries? We can help you improve them either way! Core Strength / Balance Most people have heard nowadays that core is the most important factor in keeping your back happy, but did you know that it also directly effects your balance? Slipping on ice is inevitable in Colorado, but when your core is strong enough you may not end up falling after a slip! Our core tests are one-of-a-kind in the industry, and will tell us if your core is strong enough to fight degenerative disc disease, prevent sciatica, or even help a football player better fight off a tackler. Your Data Taking all of your data helps us figure out the exercises that will harm you as well as the ones you absolutely need to do. We will work on your specific limitations to ensure that you progress based on your body, your goals, and your abilities. Your body will thank you!
