"My son Christopher has been with Dan for almost a year, after spending 3 years with a previous teacher. Chris has made amazing strides with his sense of rhythm especially, but also with his interpretations of the compositions he's playing. Dan has also shown Chris how to compose his own music and explore the many ways his own songs can sound. Dan is an excellent teacher and pianist, and I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to play the piano."

"When looking for classical piano lessons for our child, like all parents, we were concerned that she would not only receive great instruction and an appreciation for great music, it needed to be an enriching and enjoyable experience overall. Well with David Gleba we have found just that. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he is kind, patient, light-hearted-just a tremendous person. He is an exceptional musician providing an extraordinary experience for our child. We could not be happier and are so glad we found David Gleba. We highly recommend him!"

"I searched far and wide for a great professional piano teacher and found it in Justin. I had played when I was a kid and wanted to have a hobby that I can enjoy as well as learn from. Justin listened to what I wanted out of my experience (e.g., enjoyable yet challenging) and has tailored my lessons and checks in regularly to make sure he is doing all he can to make the experience even better. He is very knowledgeable about music in general not just piano, so I am not only learning the keys and technical skills, but also about the composer, music history, and culture. He has a kind and patient way to get me through the hard parts but challenges me to do better than what I expected of myself. I look forward to going to my lessons every week--it feels like a musical escape. Also, he is one of very few teachers in Manhattan who has a grand piano to teach on-- it's a treat to play on it. Highly recommended for all types of piano students!"

"Matthew is very professional musician. He took a lot of time to assist me preparing a very special song list for my husband's birthday dinner party. My family really enjoyed themselves especially because of his soulful sounds from playing the saxophone. He was mesmerizing. And, we're going to invite him back in the near future. Thanks, Matthew!"

"I just wanted to let anyone who might be interested in Mindful Piano Play know that I am so excited about Sharon Lehr's way of teaching piano! I was Sharon's very first piano teacher (very traditional, old school type of piano teacher, I think, although I never used the John Thompson method!), and in spite of me, she has become an accomplished pianist and teacher! She's had so much more training that I did, and she thinks "outside the box", which is what I want to be teaching my own current students. I have learned so much from Sharon--how to let kids make mistakes and correct them on their own, how not to TALK so much when teaching, how to let the kids PLAY with music and just enjoy it, how to teach kids to be spontaneous and creative on the piano, and how to implement those techniques. She now teaches my grandchildren how to play the piano, and she does it by this method of "mindful piano play". I am so happy to recommend her as a teacher--you'll be glad you entrusted your children (or your own self as an adult!) to her way of teaching."

"Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues. "

"Thanks to Billy my 13 year old has been re inspired!! She has been singing for 8 years and was close to giving it up. She now looks forward to her lessons. My 10 year old, who lives to sing has reached new levels in her vocal training and is seeing progress with each lesson. She has also started piano with katelyn and cannot wait to be able to play independently. Love the new studio and the loving, encouraging vibe there. "

"By far the best piano teacher I've ever had. EXTREMELY talented player and knowledgable about genres ranging from jazz to classical to pop and everything in between. He has a background and degree in jazz so he's able to communicate advanced theory concepts as well as technique/reading in a really effective manner that's easy to understand (whether you're a beginner or advancing musician). And on top of all that, he's a really great guy and a very patient teacher. Do yourself a favor and get a lesson with him, it will change the way you play and think about music."

"When I first started taking lessons with Philipp, I did not know anything about the piano but I always knew that I wanted to learn. Philipp is very patient and well knowledged about the piano. I learned about its history, how to read music, and about the various different composers in classical music in just a few weeks! I am so happy to have him as a teacher, I definitely recommend him to everyone!"
