Jonathan Segal is not only an extremely talented pianist but also a very skilled and insightful teacher of piano whether classical, jazz, or pop. Rarely do I write reviews, but I felt strongly about this gem of a teacher that I found. Francis is knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated. As a piano teacher, he is patient, encouraging, and extremely caring. As a person, he is a character I admire—hard working, kind to those around him, and inspiring.
His worldly and extensive training in music theory and in practice shows in his approach in teaching. I cannot convey in words how grateful I am to have found Francis. As an architect, I absolutely enjoy the challenge I get from learning to play the piano and using a different part of my brain, and I always look forward to our next lesson as my skills continue to improve with each lesson.
This holiday, I will be playing several classic Christmas tunes that I've always hoped to learn to play.
