My wife had a large international conference in her field here in New York and we decide to invite some of her working colleagues for an evening with wine and some Hors D'Oeuvres. As our UWS apartment is rather small we actually needed to have 2 consecutive evenings with 10-12 guests and a catering for this. Marylyn was a delight to work with - very easy process to handle the various choices, 2 phone calls and few emails and all was set. Blythe and Lisa were absolute delights, they arrived punctually both nights and brought all needed things with them - including the nice variety of food menu items we had selected. They worked in the kitchen (some of the items were warm items) and made sure that we could focus on the guests (and wine pouring :). They also got special recognition from the highly international group of guests for their great preparation of food. I also appreciate the way all was cleaned afterward and the efficient way of collecting all the necessary things they brought, Being already tired late in the evening this is very much appreciated, Hint: The lamb and the zuccinis got special recognition (the latter including me :). Overall a very good experience. Thank you all!

I hired Rich Stein for my wedding at the Carousel at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. Approximately 100 guests and he handled them all with ease, demonstrating the professional he truly is! Totally focused, kept on top of everything! Prior to the event, he was very helpful in assisting me with liquor decisions, among other issues specific to this venue, and answered questions promptly and completely. I had certain liquors set aside for a few certain people, and that went smoothly. I felt totally stress-free knowing he was in charge of everything at the bar. I would not hesitate to hire Rich again, next time, perhaps a catering gig because I hear he is a great chef, as well! Thanks, Rich!
They catered our son's graduation party. The food was delicious and the attention to detail was exceptional. We loved Cameron's carved carrot birds! They personally served the desserts to all our guests and cleared used plates from the tables and also made sure our home was spotless when then left. We look forward to Cameron and Christine catering our younger son's graduation party in two years.
I hired Platter Matters Catering for my 40th Birthday Party. Ivett did a phenomenal job planning the entire event! She took care of all the rentals and flower arrangements, too. Bernadett helped me create a custom menu(many allergies in the family). The staff was very friendly and professional. All of my guests raved about their food and service. We were so happy to have chosen Chef Anne to cater our Mom's 90th Birthday Party. From my first conversation with her to follow up email she was helpful professional and provided first rate service. Chef Anne made recommendations as well as guided me thru selecting Glueten Free etc type dietary concerns. I felt like Ive known her for years as she is so easy to work with, now I have a friend in the catering business. We had many positive comments how delicious everything was and I would recommend her and will be happy to call her again.
FANTASTIC! I hired Cultivated Tastes to cater my birthday party for approximately 20 people at my house and both Chef Gerry and Kendall exceeded our expectations in every way! I started planning the event with Cultivated Tastes a few months prior to the event and they were very helpful with food suggestions and other ideas to make sure this party was going to be a success - and it was!! Chef Gerry and Kendall were very professional and friendly. The quality of food and service was definitely 5 STAR!! We decided on having passed hors d'oeuvres and stationed platters. The food was beyond delicious and all my guests and I raved about every dish!! I absolutely loved having Chef Gerry and Kendall cater my party and I will definitely be hiring them again. My name is Ms. Lola Nathan, a recently retired Public School Administrator. It gives me great pleasure to write this review for Gwen Robinson. I've known Gwen for over 30 years and our best times have been spent singing and cooking. She specializes in vegetarian, vegan, cooked, and raw foods. We have spent many hours preparing dishes like vegan potato salad, whole wheat dinner rolls, vegetarian meat loaf, roasted veggies, vegan eggplant parmigiana, raw seasoned kale, baked sweet potatoes, vegan burgers, all types of potatoes, every kind of vegetable, fruit, cake, apple crisp and so much more. Our latest collaboration was vegan lentil loaf in which we added organic shredded carrots, organic chopped celery, organic chopped onions, ground flax seed, nutritional yeast, liquid smoke and some seasonings to our organic lentils. It was so delicious that the guests I invited for dinner wanted to take slices of the lentil loaf home for the next day. Juicing is an integral part of our health practices. One of our most healthful combinations is kale, spinach, celery, carrots, and a touch of ginger, all organic! We know it's best to juice our vegetables and eat our fruit. Juiced veggies go straight to our cells giving strength and vitality to our whole body. Fruit we eat raw because this way cleanse our digestive system. Gwen prepares excellent fruit platters! Gwen is busy but she makes time for people like me who care about their health and want great tasting food. It doesn't take us long to do anything. I get all the ingredients, she does the preparing with me. Sometimes I just have her prepare meals for me for special occasions! She gets rave reviews, is easy to work with and is patient with all whom she is instructing. Gwen has taught many of my associates and friends how to make different tasty entrées and treats. She has no problem sharing recipes and keeps some with her. Young and old alike love whatever she prepares. She makes her own dough, from scratch, for fried dough & pizzas! Wonderful!! I hired Good Food Catering for a shower in my home for approximately 25 people. I was offered a variety of appetizers and dinner items to choose from. The food was timely delivered, set up, served and cleared without interrupting the shower whatsoever. Most of all, the food was delicious! My guests really enjoyed the variety and there was plenty of food for seconds which many took advantage of. I was able to enjoy the shower and not worry about the food, serving or clean up!
Jane's catering service was absolutely perfect. She showed up early for the party our family had, worked diligently throughout to upkeep platters, refill drinks, clean up empty items, and inform guests as to where they could find items (e.g. napkins, plastic ware, etc.). Most importantly, the logistics above would have traditionally been handled by a family member, which would strip them from being able to truly relax and enjoy the time with the other family members there. She handled this while everyone was able to partake and enjoy the party. The cost was reasonable and within our budget. Overall, she was great and when our family decides to do another party, she will be getting a call from us. Thank you Jane, very much!

I was the head chef for Taste of The City in Hamden, CT and for A Taste of Seafood based in Harlem, NY.
