Mark is the best guitar, bass and harmonica teacher in the region.
Professional instruction is offered by Mark Morris for guitar, bass, and diatonic and chromatic harmonica.
Decades of teaching have proven that Mark's teaching methods work due to the fact that he has countless numbers of students who, themselves, have become professional musicians, music teachers, music therapists, and good players.
All styles and levels are accepted. Also, concepts on music theory, song composition, and playing in a band are offered. Take lessons in the comfort of your own home or at my studio, conveniently located in West Springfield.
Thirty years of teaching and playing experience qualifies Mark as one of the area's most respected musicians. Mark has performed with some of the finest musicians in the world, including internationally renowned tenor saxophonist, Archie Shepp; Blue Note recording artist, Shelton Fat Man Laster; The Grant Green Band; Jeff Pevar of David Crosby; and Pevar, and Morris Pleasure of Earth, Wind and Fire, to name a few.
Mark has taught as an adjunct professor at Springfield College, Charlamont and Wilbraham Academies, as well as at music stores in the area, such as Music Men, Falcetti Music, and Wilbraham Music. Marks own band, The Mark Morris Trio, was voted the best local band by the Valley Advocate in 1997 and 1998.
