I've been around a few NYC dance studios (BDC, Alvin Aileys, etc.) and private instructors so I feel confident in the following assessment of Dariusz. So far I've attended a few private salsa and hip hop dance lessons with Dariusz since this spring and found his style both enjoyable in terms of keeping the mood and feeling positive, while still providing solid technical and engaging feedback that would improve my dancing and general performance. Dariusz rises to the top as someone who puts more than the average amount of thought and preparation not only into his material, but how he delivers his message. His methods, presentation and information are all rock solid. His awareness of technical terminology, basic dynamics, combined with a desire for excellence means he creates lessons that are just challenging enough to help you create a solid foundation and to have fun in the meantime. Dariusz is one of the most well-trained, reliable, and most experienced salsa & hip hop instructors in the NYC Area. I recommend seeing him whether you are an absolute beginner, like me, or a competitive professional. Keep up the good work Dariusz! Best, SC.
My wife and I decided to take up dance lessons with Arati for our first dance together at our reception, and we were so glad we did. She was so easy to work with, professional, and made our classes fun and memorable. I would highly recommend her for any of your dance and choreography needs. -Kevin
I recently decided to take dance lessons for the first time. I was a bit nervous, as I'm a terrible dancer, however, I wanted to at least try it once. My first lesson with Tonisha turned out to be so much fun, and I felt very comfortable! Tonisha has an amazing talent and is knowledgeable about dance, assesses your level quicky, and begins to teach you how to move so that you see improvement with your first lesson! The first night, she choreographed a dance routine that I was able to learn that night! She has given me inspiration and confidence that I can actually do this! I would recommend Tonisha to anyone who is trying for the first time or who is experienced, but wants to take it to the next level! ~ D
Irina is an amazing instructor who was able to work well with a group! She was very communicative and flexible in our planning stages and brought lots of fun to our salsa class. I would absolutely recommend Irina (MAP 2 Rhythm) for your dance instruction needs. I know I will be reaching out to Irina in the future!
JesAnn is a tar combination of great dancer, patient instructor, and articulate teacher. I've had lessons with people who can dance but aren't great teachers - Jes is both! Ye, she will push you, but in a good way and will make sure you have fun along the way. After having worked with her for several years, I can confidently say that it doesn't matter if you have two left feet, or you been dancing for years, she can help you!
With a month left to our wedding day, we were extremely lucky to able to find Shimkiri, who is professional, friendly and empathetic with our situation. After meeting her on the first day, we knew we were in good hands. We wanted a fun and upbeat dance for our wedding and Shimkiri was able to choreograph an excellent dance routine for us in less than a month. Under her watchful eye, we learned and practiced several times a week at the Hoboken and Manhattan dance studios. She is flexible, always able to squeeze us into her schedule, while we worked full time. She was attentive to our movements, saw what worked and what did not. If we have difficulties with certain dance moves she would go above and beyond to help us nail it. By the end of the wedding night, everyone demanded an encore. We were so pleased with Shimkiri that we continued to take ballroom dancing lessons from her.
Paulina is an extremely well rounded dancer. She can slow down her body to near impossible speeds and quickly transition into fast paced explosive hip hop combos. She has an adept eye for control and textures in dance which is key to make any dance stand out. She is super friendly and intuitive to quickly assess your needs and problems. Although she is an advanced dancer, she still has a perfect sense of fundamentals which is ideal for a dancer who didn't properly learn their rudiments. Her personal training background allows her to not only to teach dance appropriately, but also helps in letting you know what muscle groups are needed for certain dances. All in all I would recommend Paulina to ANYONE ranging from a beginner to an expert to just someone who wants to learn a certain dance. I've learned more from her in one class that I've learned in a whole week of group dance classes. If you want to start or further your dance skills, Paulina is the one for you!
My fiancé and I wanted some tips and tricks for our first dance at our upcoming wedding. Our lesson was very helpful!!
We came to this school to learn salsa we signed up for one of there programs and the experience we have gotten has been amazing. We now can dance not only salsa but four other dances as well.
I've been taking lessons on and off from Michele since 1996. She really knows how to teach her students so they understand. I really love learning to dance from her!
I have taken Latin Ballroom classes with Ernesto, and he is an excellent teacher, able to clearly explain leader and follower skills, and the proper physical technique for executing the most complicated moves (whether in social or competitive styles of dance). He is always calm and fun in his explanations. As a dance artist, he is a thrill to watch, whether in Modern dance pieces, or Ballroom Latin showpieces, with a strong emotional expression of the music and choreography, and a deep connection to his partners that is mesmerizing.
They were wonderful working with us and it's obvious they are passionate and know what they are talking about. We had tried a commercial danced studio and had an awful experience being overcharged and feeling like we were being sold more than being taught to dance. While we aren't destined to be pro dancers, we will feel comfortable dancing to our first dance song for our wedding :)
Kelsey is so much fun. She's makes learning very easy. She has awesome energy and loves to keep it simple and professional. Would recommend her to anyone intersected in learning any type of dancing.
Christine makes things easy and fun. Your're going to love it!

Steven T. Williams began dancing at the age of 9 when an organization decided to take children attending inner city schools and give them a sense of direction, taking them off the street and into a dance studio. The program consisted training in modern, jazz, tap, ballet, ballroom, hip hop, voice, and more. They are called the National Dance Institute (NDI) founded by Jacques d'Amboise of the New York City Ballet. His love for the arts continued to grow as he not only continued his education at NDI, but also attended the theatre department of LaGuardia H.S. for the Performing Arts. He went on to graduate from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz with a B.A. in both technical and performance theatre, as well as a half a year of post graduate work at the acclaimed Moscow Art Theater. Performing has always been at the forefront of Steven's life. He has had the opportunity to work alongside many actors, artists, choreographers, and dancers alike, all of whom have inspired him and the lives of others. Some of his credits include projects for Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, Jamie-Lynn, and many others. He has done commercials for Pepsi (Vanilla) and iPod, and was in the off-Broadway production of The Harlequin Studies, starring Bill Irwin. He recently came off tour with Cirque Du Soleil's production of Banana Shpeel. Steven's passion for expression will endure through all trials of life, which he hopes to express within his own art. He considers a classroom full of students as a canvas, and a teacher as its painter. Seize every moment. Continue to love! Never regret; always accept! Enjoy what you have when you have it because you may just lose it. Agape - Aheb
