Dayna is such an amazing soul. After only a few phone calls she created the most inviting yoga and meditation session for my friends and I (on the day of my wedding). She was flexible, helpfully instructional and has the most wonderful soothing voice. She brought a wonderful sense of calm to our stressful day. Being new to yoga, I was looking for the right yoga instructor who could help me reach peaceful sustainability, teach me health maintenance, advanced meditation techniques as well as teach me the basic yoga exercises/movements. A wealth of knowledge and training along with the personal attention to my ability, past medical history and future goals is very important to me. I attended several classes at my local gym an was not at all impressed with the instructors, class size, atmosphere and lack of education on the yoga principals/history. I came across Brian on Thumbtack while looking into private instructors in my area. I was immediately impressed with his training in yoga, physical fitness and nutrition. His certifications surpassed all other trainers in the area. So I decided to give him a try. I have had several private and group sessions to date and will enthusiastically continue to practice with Brian. Upon arrival I notice that his studio was pristine and welcoming. His use of aromatherapy as well as herbal teas creates a wonderful scent and a feeling of calm. Brian provided me with a private session to get to know me as a person, my health history, my future goals and introduced me to him and the history and variations of yoga practice. This was a wonderful session and he has since tailored my on-going personal an group sessions based on the information he obtained. Brian's classes are small and personal. Brian: - speaks clearly and his instruction is well-timed with the music and movements -the music is played at a safe speed and is appropriate for the group and atmosphere -Brian exhibits strong movements and posture and demonstrates them properly to the group and offers alternatives for newcomers -all movements are safe and he offers adequate safety tips - motivation and interaction: Brian is incredibly motivated and makes eye contact with participants as well as assist with poses - has an energetic an peaceful environment - Brian's classes have all the expected components; including an adequate warm-up, cool-down and stretch. Meditation is a big part of the classes and personal sessions. I always start and end up feeling completely relaxed and at peace I highly recommend Brian to novice-advanced yoga students. I am the Teen Librarian at the Nyack Library. Valerie teaches our Teen Yoga programs. She does an excellent job. The teens love her. I appreciate that her class is about more than just yoga poses. She talks to the teens about their day and does meditation and mindfulness exercises with them in a way that engages them. She is really skilled at listening to and connecting with the kids in her classes. I think her class is really valuable and helpful for teens. She's been teaching classes here for over a year and I would recommend her 100%. She always checks in with me a day or two before the class. She shows up on time and brings all her own equipment.
Excellent class, have studied yoga in Bali with the best and Lisa’s class resembles my experiences there. She brings a balance of physical yoga combined with meditation and spirituality all in one. Feel excellent after every class. I highly recommend her as an Integral Hatha Yoga professional!
My experience with Rasheem was incredible. His hands are very magical as he is very skilled in what he does. His combination of Qi Gong energy work, acupressure, shiatsu, fascia manipulation And Tai Yoga stretching did unbelievable wonders. It took away my pain and and had me totally relaxed. It felt like the perfect combination. I have never experienced a massage like that before. I am so spoiled as I will never allow myself to be treated by anyone else. I had a lot more energy than I had before massage. 60 minutes definately isn't enough time. You feel as if you want more and more time. I have been so blessed meeting Rasheem.
