I went for my first drum lesson with Mike. He's really relaxed and a great teacher! Had a great experience.
I have been going to Gary for 9 years. My girls have received lessons from him in piano, drums, bass guitar and vocals. Gary is an amazing and patient teacher, but more importantly, a wonderful person and friend! I highly recommend him to anyone of any age who has a passion for music. Gary is truly a talent!
I've been taking lessons with Tad for a few weeks now and I've been loving it! I came in as a total novice and Tad has helped with my confidence and technique as a drummer. His lessons are always very thorough and he's been patient with all of my questions, making sure that I understand all of the material :)
Barbara Wyton of Continuo Music is kind, knowledgeable and well-organized. She is communicative and sends out regular updates on our account and calendar status. We love the convenience of a home trumpet lesson, and the teacher is spectacular.
They have a lot of experience teaching guitar lessons to people with all levels of musical ability. I really enjoyed working with them.
My name is Chloe Kim and I am a jazz drumming student. When I was hoping to develop drum techniques such as wrists and feet movements, a lot of Sydney local musicians recommend Oli Nelson without a moment's hesitation. From the very first lesson, Oli arrived every lesson early to warm up and be prepared for the class materials, so watching him play every time I get to the lesson, inspired me to enjoy and work harder on practicing and playing drums. During the lessons, Oli was always so generous with the compliments which encouraged me a lot, but at the same time, he challenged me enough so that I could always take things with me to work on. His general ways of explaining and answering my questions were very systematic and they were all in full detail. He also used to tell me the stories of related artists or albums to check out when I come up with certain topics or questions and that helped me immensely to not only understand but continually take a genuine interest in music. One of my favorite parts was when Oli demonstrated things on drums, as even when the tasks seemed complicated, seeing Oli playing them amazingly gave me hope and showed the possibility to be able to play them like him if I also practice hard. Overall, from my experiences, Oli has professionalism in his teaching method and I would strongly recommend to any age or level of drumming students to get lessons from him. Thanks again for all your hard works and efforts Oli, I really appreciate your passionate teaching and guidance.
My son enjoys learning from Mr. Danor. He is not rigid in his teachings, but very flexible. He shows patience and caters his lesson to the actual drummers skill set. Drum lessons are fun for my son and that brings a smile to my face.
I have been taking Bass Guitar and Drum lessons from Steve for over a year. Steve exhibits the utmost in professionalism and take the time to make sure I've mastered the task at hand before we move on to the next lesson. I would highly recommend Steve to any aspiring musician. Joe B
Terrance is an all around good hearted person and this is what he brings to his piano lessons. Personalized study and lots of fun.
The drum lessons I've taken with John over the last few years have been invaluable to my drumming, whether it's solo in the studio or playing with others on stage. I had just started to play when we began lessons, working with stick control and timing. John provides an encouraging, positive atmosphere to build skills in technique and efficiency, and outlines practices and exercises to do on my own outside of the lessons. He also introduced me to essential warm up stretches and exercises, which are very handy for endurance or just ensuring I don't wear down too quickly while playing. John's lessons have been paramount to my goal of collaborating and performing with other musicians; I've advanced greatly since I first began studying with him. Highly recommended if you're just starting to play (as I was) or to fine tune your methods and learn something new if you've already been playing a while!
Dustin has been giving my 7 year old drum lessons for 2 years, he's great with my son, patient, talented and always on time. I can't recommend him high enough!
Ryan shows up ready to dig into drum lessons with my son and is always so positive. In the short time he is working with my son, he has made tremendous progress!
Only my two older kids were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take lessons with Ryland. My older daughter had him for her rock band class. It was amazing how well he worked with this group of kids. They were inspired and morivated to learn, grow and perform. He helped transform them from individually talented musicians to a cohesive, professional sounding band in a fun, supportive environment. My son had Ryland for drums and guitar. They would work together for an hour and a half every week. Ryland had unbelievable patience and personability and was able to keep my son focused and fully engaged. The amount that he learned from Ryland about technique, theory and music is immeasurable. Although my kids have found new instructors, they miss Ryland and will forever remember the incredible impact that he had on them as musicians.
Connor took my 3 yr old on as a drumming student and was very helpful, patient and engaging. He is an awesome musician and teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Trevor is a talented instructor who has great rapport with the students. Punctual, well prepared and creative in his teaching methods it was a pleasure to have him on staff. Students loved him.
Kyle is a pro. There’s just no other way to say it. Because he knows so much about so many instruments, and knows production so well, he has a well-rounded approach to his style that translates to his students. He is patient, warm, and responsive, and has an arsenal of tools for everyone’s level. Highly recommended.
Peter Ronick is an excellent working drummer and professional drum teacher. He’s very knowledgeable, and he has taught me the drumming styles I needed to play in my own band. My playing level has increased as well.
I bring not only a background as a musician but also as an educator to each lesson. I make sure to assess not only each students technical ability but also their learning style. This allows me to approach each new concept in the way that works for the student and uses the students' learning style to find their voice as a musician.

The Al Miller Drum School has been in existence for over 5 decades. It is an easy program to follow and has provided it's students with the tools needed to understand rhythm and technique. The system is based on Al's proven instructional method begun in 1951. Many of today's most well-known drummers have studied the Miller drum system, including Billy Cobham, Greg Bissenette and Rod Morgenstein, to name just a few. Even the great Buddy Rich recognized the value of his system and asked my father to teach him to read music. Since my father's passing in 2000, I've been expanding his method and personalizing it for the modern drummer.

If you want to hire an instructor who is a working professional musician as well as an accomplished teacher, look no further! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, I can help bring your musicianship to the next level and give you real world advice on being a musician. I've been a professional percussionist in NYC for the past 4 years playing Broadway shows, orchestral concerts in Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, & Carnegie Hall, and with over 40 different bands of various styles including rock, pop, hip-hop, Latin, folk, African, and many more. I've also played with big name artists such as Kansas, Casting Crowns, Questlove, Andrew W.K. & Steven Curtis Chapman, among others. Last year, I toured Italy twice playing drums for 75 concerts in 3 months. I have a Master's in Percussion Performance, marched with Boston Crusaders Drum Corps, and have taught over 80 private students as well as drumlines at 6 High Schools in the past 10 years. I will also be one of the percussionists for Disney's Candlelight Orchestra at Epcot this December. (For more of my credentials, please check out my linkedin.com/in/brianradock) My parents have been professional drummers/percussionists for over 30 years with Disney and many acclaimed artists. My mother had a very successful teaching career here in Orlando before she relocated as the percussion professor at Rollins College and private instructor for over 80 students in Middle/High School. My step-father is the drum set professor at UNF in Jacksonville. Between their instruction throughout my development and my own professional experience, I can teach you how to play any percussion instrument, read music at a high level, AND how to find work as a musician in the future! If you want to play drums as a hobby, that sounds great too! I cater to each students needs instead of teaching the same syllabus I'm very easy-going, upbeat, and patient in my teaching methods. After all, music should be fun right? If you have a Middle School or High School student, I can prepare them for Solo & Ensemble with a library of hundreds of pieces or for drumline/drum corps auditions. I can also prepare students looking to be music majors/minors in college. I just recently moved back to Orlando, which is my hometown, so I am ready to build my teaching studio back up to what it once was ASAP. I look forward to meeting you and playing some music! (I am still working out details to have a studio space to teach out of, but can drive to you for lessons at your home or at your school. Will update this page once I have a studio space.)
