A Julliard Grad, Sam Ruttenberg is an extremely versatile teacher in both the jazz and classical fields. A student who wishes to be well rounded will be a perfect match for Sam. Although I have only studied primarily drumset with him, he has incorporated classical concepts into my playing and vice versa which has made me become an overall stronger player. Not only is he a jack of all trades, but he is also an entrepreneur. His bestselling drum product, the Hingestix, are sold all over the world. For anyone who is just picking up drumsticks should check his product out. Whether you are just trying to get better at the drums or considering having a musical career, Sam teaches students of all ages and gives back to the drumming community as much as he can.

I left my drum lesson with Patrick all fired up! Patrick covered the basics for me, as someone brand new to playing drums, in a way that covered a ton of territory while getting me playing and improving by the end of the hour. I appreciated Patrick's embodied approach to drums, encompassing ergonomics and the physicality as well as the mental part of playing. He incorporated examples from music I knew and his enthusiasm and broad knowledge for drumming came through. I can't comment on his punctuality, as I was running behind schedule, but he was accommodating and responsive. His rate was not the cheapest I was quoted, but his expertise, clarity, and personableness were well worth his rate. Highly recommended!

My son has been going for drum lessons to Dan for about 5 months now. Dan is a good teacher. He is very patient and encouraging and Dan has been able to help my son with his love for drumming. His hand and foot coordination is getting better and he is always looking forward to drum classes. Dan is a professional and easy to work with, fun and punctual. He makes his class a learning experience without compromising on the enjoyment.

I am an aspiring rap and R&B producer. I have been producing music for 6 years and I've been an avid drummer for 12. Since I started producing with a background in drumming, my productions were very advanced drum wise, but I was always hesitant to learn theory beyond playing C Major and looking at Piano scale charts. Theory always seemed daunting to learn. While I was growing creativity and technical in all fronts, my lack of theory became a crutch. Andy sat down with me and broke down scales, chords, general theory tremendously well. Since my learning needs are far different from traditional piano education, Andy has able to accommodate me and shift the lesson plans to what I feel is most important. I'm not trying trying to learn how to play 'Marry has a Little Lamb'. I'm trying to make music that moves people, and through lessons with Andy, I'll be were I need to be in due time. Highly recommend him.

I have been taking piano lessons from Mrs. Sherry for about 5 years now, and I took about a year of the music theory labs and voice lessons. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. She is so hardworking, flexible with lessons, organized, and not to mention an excellent person and great friend to me. She teaches beginner students as well as advanced students such as myself. I have just started to teach a beginner student of hers and it has been very good experience. There is also great opportunties for students to have good experiences with the studio because Mrs. Sherry has phenomenal recitals that any of her students are encouraged to perform at. I very highly recommend having your child take lessons from her.

Serious about learning the drumset? Charlie is your guy. Great teacher, always improving his game both as an educator and a player. Great guy, cares about his students progress. You better practice too! Charlie teaches out of love for the instrument, if you don't practice he may just refer you somewhere else! He is one of the area's best-kept secrets.

I had never had a drum lesson before but thought it would be something fun to try! Jaren was really good about breaking down what was necessary for me to know for my spontaneous lesson. I felt fully comfortable and encouraged learning from him. He was very knowledgeable and didn't make me feel anxious or intimidated trying something new which I really appreciated. He provided a professional, yet fun experience for me that I won't soon forget!

Joe is a great teacher. He has been instructing my son, a16 year old, for the last 2 years and has really connected with him. He's knowledgeable and knows how to keep the kids excited and interested. He is able to split his time with piano and guitar and make progress with both. He's always on time and super reliable!!

About

I have been playing drums for over 13 years and have several years of teaching experience. Some of the professional teachers I have studied with include professors at the University of the Arts, Drexel University in Philadelphia, and the renowned Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel. To develop a lesson plan that caters to the specific needs of individual students, I take the best techniques and methods from all my teachers and master classes with famous drummers like Steve Smith, John Riley, Mike Clark, Efrain Toro, and many more, and combine them with my own teachings. I can teach many different styles such as rock, jazz, metal, funk, hip-hop, and different Latin styles. My drum and recording studio is located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania where lessons can be held; but I can also come to you. The first lesson is free! No obligations thereafter.

About

I will gear my teachings towards your strengths at first in order to strengthen your motivation. From there we will decide what genre you want to work on and develop immediately and we'll get cooking. I'm very good giving you clear cut information and sizing doses of information per lesson.
